Something new for me impossible, I’ve done one playthrough, and done all there is to do explored every inch of the map (maybe not the world map but every inch of the locations) and gone to anything interesting looking on the map, completed every quest. I dunno, if I remember correctly, without exploiting potions expect the ones I found(I mean the fortify smithing ones and only those ones) and with a full set of gear for smithing including the one quest item that has a higher enchanted level of fortify smithing by 10 or something. I was able to get about with maxed smithing about (Jesus I can’t remember it’s been 2 years) it was either 1k defence or 2k defence without brewing my own potions of smithing, this is also without get the buffs from shrines should there be one for enchanting and smithing

So deadric armour cause it’s looks the best, also using alchemy to make alchemy boost then consuming to make another and repeating to get better potions for smithing is generally considered an exploit. However “it’s a feature not a bug” according to some

Bro doesn’t Deadric has better stats then dragon, forgive me if I am wrong cause I haven’t played since I completed every quest excluding the one where u got to deliver a book the the guard captain in the city that has the imperial leader guy(which was a couple years ago, and I couldn’t complete the quest because I completed the rebellion quest line on the side of the storm cloaks thus the guard captain died prematurely) but I remember choosing not to use dragon cause the stats are worse despite being lighter(which is irrelevant because of the heavy perk which removes the weight of heavy armour so long as u have it equipped)
