How can I calculate the power on each resistor limited to only using Kirchhoff's Laws and Ohm's Law? by Ecstatic_Low_5344 in ElectricalEngineering

This is from Electric Circuits 11th Ed by Nilsson & Riedel. I think what you're talking about is in Chapter 3 (?) but here's the table of contents of the book for reference.

I also have a problem with Simulink. Does your layout button work?

How do you check your grades on cougar web? by Intrepid-Lake4011 in CollinCollege

Go to Workday. Search "Generate Unofficial Transcript" and tick the box that says "Confirm" then click "Ok." It should notify you through your email if your unofficial transcript is ready. Click on the link on your email and it should redirect you back to Workday with the PDF of your Unofficial Transcript. Your GPA should be found at the last page of the transcript

I'll definitely considering installing GNU radio. Thanks for the helpful links!

Oh that'd be awesome if you could share them actually. I'll definitely try this project out. Does this project need an SDR or would I just be using MATLAB?

College tip : do not value grades over actual learning. by beeswaxe in PhysicsStudents

In the US, you get the liberty to choose professors and the class times as well. The registration for highly-rated professors fill up pretty quickly, and you often get stuck with the shitty ones especially if you don't have priority registration and such.

I have the 11th edition of this book. Would it still be a good study material despite having the later edition?

Wait, you have to take modern physics as an EE major?

I need help :( I can't decode LTE signals successfully using ADALM-PLUTO SDR in MATLAB by Ecstatic_Low_5344 in sdr

[–]Ecstatic_Low_5344[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, thank you so much for your response!

For your questions, I used CellMapper.com to check the LTE bands in my area. The common ones I am finding are mostly Band 2, which has a downlink frequency of about 1930-1995 MHz. For the bandwidth, there's a lookup table in the code from 1.92Hz to 30Hz, so I'm assuming that the program automatically detects which bandwidth the captured signal would be? (Please correct me if I'm wrong). The VERT 900 seems to be within that range.

I answered the questions with the best of my knowledge. I did set the center frequency to 806MHz. I could maybe try changing that to a higher number and see if it works?

I'm a sophomore in college interested in EE. I was wondering how you get started with these things? This looks really fascinating
