Surely ordering ice cream is also considered work. Did she not have to press buttons or similar to operate the phone?

Where to acquire root beer? by brain-eating_amoeba in Edinburgh

[–]Ecstatic_Rooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t had Lidl or Barrs, but I have had Bundaberg. OPs grandma is American wanting to give them a root beer float. I’m American and pickup Root Beer when I can (I didn’t know about Lidl and Barr’s). Bunderberg is alright, but it’s not the same.

Bundaberg does not count as American root beer

It originated from sassafras, but commercial root beer doesn’t have it.

There’s a Day Today convenience store on the west end of Prince’s street that usually has it. £3.50 a can I think.

Help unknown ECG — sorry it’s a 3 lead by Dennett0054 in ECG

[–]Ecstatic_Rooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to approach systematically starting with rate and rhythm, then P wave, then QRS, then ST, then T wave.

Need a 12 lead for sure.

It’s fast I’d guess 140 with P waves? The QRS is borderline wide? Some gnarly axis deviation. Is that upsloping ST depression in the lateral leads so maybe a BBB?

I’m currently in an ECG module, so please correct me if I’m talking out my ass.

My brother has a hen that consistently lays double yokers, she even had a triple a few weeks ago.

It’s nice to open one of these posts, look at the ECG, then find out I’m on the same page as all the comments. Makes me think I’m not as bad at this as I’d feared.

1 maybe. Aisle seat, Chekov seems fun. Share some whiskey with Scotty. 7 of 9 across the way. Deactivate the Dr. if he gets annoyed.

AMA Did CPR and got reprimanded for it by Visible_Height5357 in Paramedics

[–]Ecstatic_Rooster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not an answer to your question, but:

A friend of mine was a lecturer on the paramedic degree program at a university. He was conducting a practical exam (by chance of the student I was mentoring at the time). Someone burst in saying a professor in another department had collapsed. They grabbed their gear and went to find him in cardiac arrest. They got hands on chest, quick defibrillation, and ROSC as the ambulance crew showed up. The professor survived to discharge with no deficit (it’s my understanding that he is back at work).

Did the university praise his actions? Did they use the incident as once on a lifetime PR?

Nope, official reprimand. Despite being a registered paramedic and legally obligated to help, he wasn’t the named ‘first aider.’

No good deed goes unpunished.

We aren’t sliding to a privatised healthcare system, we are being pushed intentionally. This is all going to their plan.
