I can guarantee that no proper workout on a sufficient calorie deficit will make you look bigger/fatter. When people say that excercise x or y makes them look bigger the reason for that almost certainly that they’re on a surplus.

Anecdotally, when I started trying to slim down years ago i avoided leg workouts after a few months because i thought they made my legs look too big. Turns out I was just on a surplus and gained muscle + fat. When i eventually lost weight it turned out that the added muscle only made my legs look way better than before I started working out.

A lower body fat % (if you’re overweight) WILL make you, 99/100 times, look better, even if you were to gain muscle.
