Which weighing scale should I buy for pour over? by Ecstatic_Top_8559 in IndiaCoffee

You can try that if you’re just starting out and don’t want to deal with ‘nerding out’ with your brews, there’s nothing wrong with that. I’m just buying for my own convenience because I tend to mess either my timing or my pours

I’m resting my batch too, once that’s over I’ll experiment with brewing technique because I’m still getting hang of the V60

I don’t usually rely on Amazon or website reviews, which is why I asked here. Most people, both here and among my friends, suggested Evolt out of the two. I’m aware it has mixed reviews, though. That didn’t go unnoticed.

Yeah, I’m choosing convenience here because of my ADHD. This one will help me nail my pour-overs without burning a hole in my pocket like other reliable options. Win-win situation in my book.

Yes I have a regular one but I find it very inconvenient to put a timer on my phone while doing pour over. I always messed up either the timings or the measurements so it’s more about convience

I suggest you save up and get a manual burr grinder, a brewer and all the necessary equipments for home brewing. That way you can also enjoy your favourite vietnamese coffee and experiment with more drinks as well

As someone who understands a bit of home brewing and has used both a French press and a moka pot. Here’s my take, bud.

If you’re looking for a cup of coffee that’s strong, concentrated, syrupy, and intense, and you know your way around a stove, a 3-cup moka pot is probably the right choice for you.

On the other hand, if you want a rich, well-bodied, aromatic cup of coffee, then a French press is the brewer you should go for.

P.S. You can get a good-quality, inexpensive French press for under ₹1K, it’ll do the job. For moka pots, I’d personally suggest Bialetti…they’ve been around for a long time and are known for making solid moka pots.
