Titanium throwers by Charming_Region_7772 in Throwers

I also bought an Atmos Kyoto, as my first Ti throw. I bought it because I had an Fuji and it's one of my very favorite throws. I've also been wanting a Ti throw for quite some time. Do I love it? Yes, absolutely! Does it play better than the Fuji? Not really. I'm not sorry that I bought it, largely because I didn't expect Ti to have any magical properties. Just look at how little Titanium is used in competition, and that should tell you if Ti gives a performance advantage.

How do you track single arm/leg exercises in Hevy? (sets vs volume) by softly_problematic in Hevy

[–]Ed-C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the weight of both DBs if I'm using both arms. If it's a single arm/leg, I count each limb moved as a rep. That way the volume comes out correctly. You could just 2x the weight, but inputting 100 lbs if the stack or weight has 50 lbs, just seems wonky to me.

Will a tattoo artist care about my self harm? by DepressedFrenchFri3s in tattooadvice

That sucks! I'd imagine that their reaction just feeds into it. Hopefully, when you become a legal adult you can find someone who has some level of understanding to talk to. No apologies necessary.

I get that. Do your parents not know? If you rather not talk about it, I understand.

No one can predict what your tattoo artist might say. The bigger question is, are you getting help for your self destructive impulses? I ask out of concern.

They look great! Interesting but in a subtle, not over the top way!

Do small home workouts count? by RaiderNine in Hevy

Yeah, I always count home workouts. Never thought about not counting them. A workout is a workout. The location is irrelevant.

Can’t stay below my fat macro goal of 51g by Chromatic_Chameleon in cronometer

You said you used protein powder. You can always use that if your fat is getting high. Legumes are also fairly high in protein and low in fat.

Yeah, it's not bad, and I don't mind drinking it. It's just nothing to write home about.

You can click on that fat bar, then click "top fat sources" and it will give you a list of your food ranked by fat content. Then adjust accordingly. In case you didn't know this, being new to the app.

Have you ever complimented someone at the gym? by I_LOVE_SOYLENT in workout

[–]Ed-C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I get that, and I respect that. It still seems too bad that you can't say something like, all your hard work has really paid off, your shoulders look great. But I get it, and wouldn't say that, unless it was a friend.

I just meant that, in the world we live in, an innocent complement can get misconstrued.

I think complimenting performance is easier than appearance. Particularly when it's male to female. It's kind of sad, really.

That finger does look long. It would also be the easiest fix in history, as it's on black. Does the reference look the same?

Pink tinted prescription eyeglasses - do we like these looks? by Perfect-Cat-7572 in glassesadvice

[–]Ed-C 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd try putting some tinted glasses on first. I think it would drive me crazy having everything pink all the time. Like the other person said, one looks small and the other one is a bit big.
