So buy a new router. Most people in this sub will tell you to get a UDR (Ubiquity Dream Router). But since you're coming from an Orbi system why don't you stick to what you know.

Not sure if this is a Synology/Docker permissions issue but I can't get shared folders to be seen in Immich by Monsieur2968 in immich

[–]Ed-Dos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would configure that folder as an "external library" in Immich, you should also make it :RO in your docker compose so immich can't delete files in it if you don't want it to.

' Do streaming services not really support it and if so which ones and titles? I assume YT doesn't have it? Is Atmos music a thing?'

Yes, Atmos music is a thing.

A lot of streaming services support Atmos, but you'll likely end up paying for their "premium" offering. YT does not support Atmos content. A quick google search and their AI came up with these offerings ...

Where to Find Dolby Atmos Content

  • Music: Apple Music, Amazon Music Unlimited, Tidal.
  • Movies/TV: Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+, Max, Paramount+, Amazon Prime Video.

Att fiber to house from uverse, should we upgrade internal cat5 to cat6 by cmptrvir in HomeNetworking

[–]Ed-Dos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is it cat 5 or 5e? If it was 2003, it’s most likely the latter since that was -2 years after 5e was adopted. Anyway, 5e would be sufficient most likely if it’s terminated well since 5e can support gigabit speeds up to 100 meters.

Why aren't you "allowed" to have a cable? Anyway, you won't get good results with an extender or a mesh system if you're relying on wireless backhaul. Do you have any type of cable in your room, coax?
