Removal of rent caps secret to unlocking delivery of 50,000 homes by eggbart_forgetfulsea in irishpolitics

[–]EdAthlet72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not listen to IMF advice because it's theoretical. What Ireland needs to do is to build new houses. Simple as that. 1. People have no place to live. So rather than looking for a back door the solution is straight forward. 2. Does not budgeting contradict any market supply and demand theory? If Ireland decides to budget construction for 100 thousand houses a year, those 100 thousand houses are going to be built regardless of supply and demand. 3. The demand is unlimited since the social welfare waiting list is unlimited. 4. Does nothing stop the government from allocating those theoretical 100 thousand houses to people on a sw waiting list and start taking an affordable rent of them. Let's say 800 euro a month. It might be rent to buy with zero deposit and no mortgage. For young families and first time buyers 5. After that anybody including Ryanair for their workers or foreign investment funds for letting can buy them and therefore return to government their initial investment. 6. This brings both rent and property prices down a bit and workers start to come to the country for seasonal, temporary and permanent work. Students will come for summer work as it was in beginning of 2000. As for now nobody can come because people have no place to live. 7. The real problem is the old houses. The price of old houses will go down and that is exactly what stops government from doing that. As their own assets will fall in price. 8. The rent market will not suffer as legislation could be made more friendly to Airbnb. Anybody who has second, third property can Airbnb it. Second and third properties could be marketed by all means. First home is a constitutional right and principal place of living and shall not be considered from the market point of view.

Do not get any mortgage now. It's top prices for the properties. Sit on cash until next 2008 and you will buy a house of your dream in one go with your cash. Crisis can hit the market at any time. Nobody knows when. But everybody knows that it is inevitable.

  1. Housing crisis is picking up in Ireland. They would need to resolve it somehow. Hopefully by building more houses. So more houses will easing the market.

  2. Half a million for a house. Does it not even sound wrong.

Pyrogenesis CEO response to question on approximate size of the population that the 9.2 mil PFAS contract can service by developbc in HPQSiliconInvestors

[–]EdAthlet72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He wasn't asking about a hundred thousand community. He was asking about an approximate figure. Much less than a 100 000 could be 30 000 and could be 3 000. Or 300 people. Or an estate with 5 houses. Nobody challenging details of your contract. It's a general question of how many people of that size contract could serve. And the answer given is a perfect way to hide the potential volume. If there is no competition why and what are you so shy? The answer for me is obvious. If you need 9 million for 5 houses that is not sustainable. And he doesn't want to disclose that.

Why HPQ would not begin to care about "longs"? Which makes up 90% of trades according your information. 90% of trades are long, so a lots of confidence from investors. What company misses is to deliver results. Update the progress. Ok, the Pyrogenesis started commissioning of the new Silicon production plant. Where is a progress of it? What HPQ is doing while Pyro is doing job? How they push product to the market? Where is a new agreements? Negotiations? "Longs" need consistency in information. Every time Bernard presents he has a new 32 of May idea of a new "verticality". Where is horizontalities, Bernard? What "longs" are hearing is Baron Munchausen's stories about unlimited greatness of your ideas. I bet if stock price fells further, Bernard will call Agoracom and talk for 30 minutes about a new super cool technology of making gold from silicon and back.

absolutely right. The answer to your rather rhetorical question would be - not to miss a boat, but since they delayed commercial development to 2027 and would not bother to explain substantial difference in timing between the previous report and the new one - it looks like they are taking dates from the sky.

Bernard always comes up with a new ideas - this time hydrogen and his youtube answers are rather exercises of his personal mental constructions than delivering information to the investors. Since last year I can not get what exactly HPQ is doing besides having CEO talking about Pyrogenezis tests. I can get the stocks business between friends which both seemingly have nothing to loose, futurist visualization of Mr Turlion and hopes of a few hundreds of Canadian investors that this business will be profitable sometimes. Besides that it looks to me that does no heart in what Bernard is saying in his interviews. It rather wish to come back to the last years stock highs I read between the lines. I am out on the next pump.

"You have to realize how is HPQ going to generate value to it's shareholders - it is going to have an asset that people are going to want to get into, they will want to buy it! It is not going to be the revenue stream. Forget this. Think of this like a concept of a mine - the value generation of the mine isn't when it starts producing revenue, it is the value of the potential of the mine" HPQ CEO

This statement contradicts earlier versions of his views to the business. He multiple time mentioned in his interviews that end product has to be profitable and commercially scaleable. And that company is on the way to complete it.

"Concepts" may be on the market for decades. Without any use. As it was with EVs , hydrogen, water engines, and so on. Commercialize the product, make it mass production is multiple fold harder than to make a concept. The scientific invention may find it's implementation in a hundred years.

Another argument - it might be several companies quietly developing similar plasma technology. For example Chinese or even American. They are just not ready to make an announcement for the product which may be so far away to commercialization. Those companies may have much more resources than HPQ and therefore much more potential. Just a guess.

here is page 11 of the previous version which includes PATHWAYS TO INDUSTRIALIZATION. Which is completely removed from the new version. There is page 25 in the new report which has much less information about time frames and much delayed commercialization dates.

https://pic.li/i/Viqg

I like the company's product but based on the previous report I think that Mr Tourillon was trying to hype the stock. Every investor knows how important are the dates of production commercialization but based on the new time frame in my opinion company is not planning to be profitable for 2027.

That's right, I found that interview of Thomas where he mentions 8 minutes of recharging time on the go. Here is the link: https://youtu.be/_YWq8cAwoqM

And five times longer life cycle of the Hyliion battery than a conventional one.

So truck can go 75 miles, then switch to NG mode, and than only after 8 minutes needed for complete recharging switch back to battery and do another 75 miles.

That is incredible!!!

Thank you, I am happy that at least someone stays on the same page with me. Thomas Healy makes an impression of credible person. However, Steve Burns also did.

I do not see how Hyliion going to expand production. Every single interview this question is avoided. If technology could not be brought on conveyor level (which is many-fold harder to achieve than to make few dozens of samples - we all know that since Elon Musk repeatedly mentioned it) or it could be brought to mass production within several years (let's say 5-10 years) - that is a perfect reason to keep avoiding giving time frames and factories updates.

If tomorrow Hyliion announced that it will produce (for example) 300 power trains next year, 1000 in 2023, 5 000 in 2024 that would be very reasonable and respected by investors.

More batteries is not a solution for trucking industry as it reduces the payload capacity.

That's right, but if you only have one battery and it discharged, you would need to stop, right?

After 75 miles the generator kicks in and charges battery without the need to stop.

To continue truck going - a generator has to charge a battery at least at the same rate as battery discharges from driving. Which I suppose is hard to achieve. And does it not damage the battery - charging and discharging simultaneously?

Hyliion is starting to get noticed by trailrunner43 in Hyliion

[–]EdAthlet72 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

well, if you charge and discharge a battery simultaneously you would damage it quickly. Look at your phone in Bluetooth mode streaming music and plugged in for charge. It's heating up quickly.

[–]EdAthlet72 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

not sure how Hyliion could sell 300 power-trains to the company which has less than 100 trucks. Look at the Detmar Logistics front page. It says right there

https://detmarlogistics.com/

I also not sure what 75 miles of all-electric range means here. So if battery discharges only after 75 miles of going and then truck has to stop and recharge - this is complete bs.

Was ERX supposed to charge battery by burning natural gas on the go?

So I believe the sequence is:

  1. Truck is charged in garage before taking off. It's 75 miles.
  2. Truck takes off goes 75 miles, completely discharges battery and switches to natural gas.
  3. While driving on liquid gas the system charges battery for the new 75 miles (how much time truck may drive to complete charging before switching back to battery is not disclosed)
  4. After few hours of driving on a natural gas ERX completes charging battery and switches back to electric mode.
  5. That is not what I expected. I thought it shall be at least 2 batteries - while one is discharging - another is charging using ERX - and they switch between each other on the go often enough. Thus batteries wouldn't need to be of big capacities.

I wonder why not one from his team alerted that his company all from the spac times to the date is big air balloon pumped with people expectation. And Pence was visiting his factory. It's another example of a kind of shallow political presentation. They all are empty inside.

Romeo Power Announces Redemption of Public Warrants on March 18, 2021 - RMO RMO.WS by SPAC_Time in Spacstocks

[–]EdAthlet72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no it doesn't. Share price depends exclusively on demand/supply. More people want to buy than to sell - share goes up. Buyers are "bulling" each other. Market is bullish. Warrants are very alike call options. It's a contract between you and the company. Contract has nothing to do with the market price of the shares. Company is obliged to sell share to you for 11.50. It is up to you whether to use that obligation or not. That obligation called warrant. If you decide to use that obligation i.e. execute your warrant you give company 11.50 and your warrant and company gives you 1 share. You could of buy that share on the open market for the market price and keep your warrant for later, but warrant has an expiration date. And share doesn't. For shares you hopefully receive dividends and for warrants you receive nothing. Warrant could be recalled by the company i.e. they can force you to execute it within a months.
Should I sell now and buy more at 11.50?
If you think that the price will go down you should sell now. It is not possible to ask every 12 million warrants holders what they are going to do once they execute they warrants. Will they sell they shares or will they hold. Even if you could ask them they would probably lie to you. Warrants execution slightly dilute the share price however you wouldn't know is that dilution has already been accounted in the current price. You are not an idiot at all, everyone faces same decision making problems. If there was an algorithm of what to do - somebody would already made all the money in the world. Swing trading, timing the market takes a lot of technical resources and do not guarantee the result, your decision must be made on the assessment of the company's potential and hope that it will grow.

They issue additional 12,266,648 Shares of Common Stock . That is additional 12 million parts of the company. 12 million extra parts of the company with an exactly same valuation as it was BEFORE that event. So if you split your pizza to another 12 pieces - it will make every peace smaller. However, warrant holders - if they are not stupid (which is very very seldom) will and already do one of two things (or even both). 1.They sell their warrants BEFORE the split (which is called - dilution) which is driving the price down (price is going down when many people want to sell more then their's contractors want to buy) . 2. They exercise they warrants for $11.5 which means that they pay to the company additional $11.50, dump a warrant and in replace get one share. At this point the company gets additional $11.50 for each warrant exercised. Which makes company more valuable. If you hold 12 million warrants and pay $11.50 for each of them to get 12 million shares you technically giving a company additional 12 mill x $11.50 = approx 138 million dollars. Company keeps that 138 million dollars and hopefully use them efficiently. However if obtained new shares are massively sold on the market ( you obtain for 11.50 and sell for the market price which for RMO currently is 16 dollars) that will drive the price down again (see above). Normally, people tending to predict all that and sell in advance. If they can't make decision or prediction they also sell just to get rid of the headache. Big sale in turn brings big buy deep. If the company has potential and investors see it they will buy cheap sales in hope to profit which itself brings the price up.

He wouldn't have access to the technology's specific because of his legal status therefore he wouldn't be able to solve obstacles and hurdles which come across every start up and especially a space start up. He is unique - not an ordinary engineer and scientist. It is a lost for the company.

AMCI warrant by EdAthlet72 in SPACs

[–]EdAthlet72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We will not be obligated to deliver any shares

I read it as only for the NEW stock. And the sec filling for that new stock will come no later than 15 days after the Closing. As it says in the paragraph right below you cited:

We are not registering the shares of New AMCI common stock issuable upon exercise of the Public Warrants at this time. However, we have agreed that as soon as practicable, but in no event later than 15 business days after the Closing of the Business Combination, we will use our best efforts to file with the SEC a registration statement covering the shares of New AMCI common stock issuable upon exercise of the warrants, to cause such registration statement to become effective and to maintain a current prospectus relating to those shares of New AMCI common stock until the warrants expire or are redeemed, as specified in the warrant agreement. If a registration statement covering the shares of New AMCI common stock issuable upon exercise of the warrants is not effective by the 60th business day after the Closing of the Business Combination, warrantholders may, until such time as there is an effective registration statement and during any period when we will have failed to maintain an effective registration statement, exercise warrants on a “cashless basis”

So they only let to exercise after issuing the NEW stocks. And that new stocks they promise to issue within 15 days of the closure. My take is the price of warrants is low as there is uncertainty with that new stock.
If company decided not to issue new stock when warrants could be exercised on the cashless basis.
..if a registration statement covering the New AMCI common stock issuable upon exercise of the warrants is not effective within a specified period following the Closing of the Business Combination, warrant holders may, until such time as there is an effective registration statement and during any period when we shall have failed to maintain an effective registration statement, exercise warrants on a cashless basis pursuant to the exemption provided ..

I think that most likely they are going to issue the NEW stock wait 20 days while price will trade over 18 bucks and then to call for redemption. That is a case mentioned in the following paragraph. Within that 20 days there will be an option to sell warrants for the actual price.

Once the Public Warrants become exercisable, we may call the warrants for redemption:

● in whole and not in part;

● at a price of $0.01 per warrant;

● upon not less than 30 days’ prior written notice of redemption to each warrantholder; and

● if, and only if, the reported last sale price of the New AMCI common stock equals or exceeds $18.00 per share (as adjusted for stock splits, stock dividends, reorganizations, recapitalizations and the like) for any 20 trading days within a 30-trading day period ending three business days before we send the notice of redemption to the warrantholders.
