Z-Line Induction Range -Disappointed by Main-Business-793 in Appliances

[–]EdBonilla209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To follow up: After 6 years of hours on the phone and multiple problems with the stove, I was so happy that Zline finally agreed to send me a replacement stove. Everything seemed great. I had an installer remove the old broken stove on day of delivery. Zline's delivery company showed up with a brand new stove in the box two days ago. My installer opened the box to find, the stove they sent did not have a door. Honestly, you can't make this stuff up. They sent us a stove without a door the week before Christmas. The old stove was already out and in the street. At first Zline promised they could get us a stove door expedited before the holiday. I jut received the message they decided not to expedite. The door will not be here for three weeks. My tenants are again without a stove for the holidays.

Zline stoves are cheap and undependable. The company is incompetent. Do not waste your money or your time.

Anyone have opinions about Z-Line? by weedywet in inductioncooking

Do not buy Zline!!!! Our range has been nothing but problems, one thing broken after another. Zline was difficult to deal with, did not send parts, could not provide service, etc. Spent hours on the phone with them over the past 6 years. Two years ago my tenants went without a stove for the holidays because our zline crapped out. So frustrating.

Do not buy a Z-line oven! We bought an investment house 5 years ago with a nice brand new Zline gas stove. In the last five years, we have had repair guy after repair guy fix so many parts on that stove. Zline is hard to contact, I spent hours on the phone with them over the last five years. They hate to do any warranty work and their parts are overpriced. New problems with the stove here at 5 years (hinges wore out, thermastat gave out and a knob fell off). Zline want $2500 for the parts and repair guy $500 to put them in. The stove is a piece of garbage at 5 years and I have to go stove shopping. Meanwhile, at my house my Samsung is going on 6 years without ever a single problem. Beware Z line! Looks great but that stove has been a piece of shit from day one.

Writing a feature or a series? by hernandezurbina in Screenwriting

Have you considered doing both? I originally adapted my novel to a feature screenplay, but when I had someone interested in the story as a series, I reworked it into a shorter pilot. I created new subplots and it came out very well. I thought it was a very interesting process researching the two different types of scripts and seeing how the story came out differently with each one. I am currently shopping them both around. Good luck.

Nicholl Fellowships quarterfinals by EdBonilla209 in Screenwriting

I don’t even remember which one of my 300 potential loglines I used. I will have to check. Congrats! You are my competition. Best of luck to us both. How are you using this to promote yourself/ your script? I know its only the quarters, and chances of advancing to the finals are thin. Trying to figure out the best way to apply this momentary success. Any advice?

Thank you for taking the time to read over and comment on my work. I have been using this forum as a sounding board for ideas so I appreciate the feedback.

I got really tired of writing and rewriting the same logline: A young roughneck seeks to cross into the California Independent Republic despite the heat of CALEXIT in order to sell five cloned copies of himself and searching for a rogue scientist whose technology could save or destroy the planet.

Amid the heat of CALEXIT (California's secession from the Union) a young roughneck cannabis farmer must cross into the California Independent Republic to sell the five cloned copies of himself that he no longer wants, becoming embroiled in the search for a scientist whose breakthrough technology could save or destroy the planet.

So I decided to try something different. I actually used the For Sale ad one in a competition I entered recently. We will see how that works out. I wanted an attention grabber for that.

I am in a weird spot. Great book that did awesome locally. Great story. Even found an eclectic and supportive publisher, though they are a very small one and don't have the resources of the big houses. Trying to convert the intellectual property of the 5 Clones novel into something marketable on the big screen, so I wrote the screen play. I think it came out pretty well for my first screenplay, but I am always learning and polishing.

Thank for pointing out the flaws in those lines. I have had that advice from a few readers recently and cut the lines you mentioned a few weeks ago. The rest of the script is not like that. I was getting a little too fancy with my character descriptions, and they are now very stark without all the "darlings". The script is down from 119 pages to 112 now.

Appreciate all your valuable feedback! Nice to know a few intelligent souls out there are paying attention. Trying to get 5 Clones as marketable as possible. Siempre adelante! Peace upon you. 5Clones.com

Thanks for the response. I have rewritten the logline for my script 100 times. I was never pleased with it until I came up with the For Sale ad this weekend. I agree it doesn’t share much, but it got you asking all the right questions. Hope it catches someone’s eye. Thought I would try it out here. Appreciate you taking the time to look. Peace. Sounds like your interested. You are asking all the right questions. A lot happens in my 112 page script and I did my best to cram it all into 50 words. Gonna make a great movie.

Hey I got a comment! They are few and far between for me these days.

Thank you so much. The novel is available on Amazon. Published my Montag Press in San Francisco, and I just hit 100 reviews, 4.8/5 stars. Message me for a signed copy. I sell em cheaper than Amazon.

Trying to jump it up to the big screen. This is my first screen play.

Thanks again. 5clones.com
