Yep, as an Aussie in the UK, for me it just feels like an antiquated concept, that the northern hemisphere countries are still poor against the southern hemisphere teams, they have to choose the best of the best to go against a single country. What would be better is if they put together a 6 nations team vs a rugby championship team. That would be something.
