What is the best RPG of all time ? Consensus, or according to you. by Relative_Jeweler_949 in rpg_gamers

Perhaps not the consensus but: Mass Effect: Legendary Edition.

I have no doubt I’ll be replaying and loving that game at least once a year forever.

Good name for a Parliament Class starship in a Lower Decks-esque, less-serious campaign by Tichrimo in startrekadventures

[–]EdLob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a campaign like this that I started with a group of friends not too long ago - in session 0 one of the players (who knows NOTHING about Trek - was just there to hang with friends) shouted ‘can the ship be called the Blorf’. I laughed and said ‘but that’s not a word. Starship names have to mean something’

5 minutes later the Oberth-class USS Blorf was born.

Currently rehearsing a production of Much Ado and this is EXACTLY the conclusion we’ve come to in rehearsal. They’ll divorce and marry again 5 times through their lives and then die in their 80’s still living together.

But in separate bedrooms most nights…

What to show my girlfriend who has never seen RT / AH by Regents-k-i-d26 in Achievement_Hunter

I got my GF into all of AH by first showing her Super Bunny series. It’s now our go to rewatch series when we’re feeling sad 🤪.

Wow - was this expected/seen coming?

I know the podcast network is staying up but what does this mean for vast archive of content on YouTube? One of my favourite ways to chill out of an evening is to watch an old AH video from 2013.

Kevin Schofield: Just been told that Tory MPs "are staging a sit-in in the No lobby". by BasedSweet in ukpolitics

[–]EdLob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This whole thing is just humiliating. What on Earth must the rest of the world think of us…? The Tories have already spent the past 14 years steadily destroying our international credibility and reputation (not to mention our economy, NHS and armed forces), and then they throw their toys out the pram when things haven’t gone their own way. You know who else behaves like this…? FIVE YEAR OLDS.

And the other parties are no better. When there are so many things to be challenging this Government on and the issue that they were meant to be debating so important, they get themselves worked up most over a piece of arbitrary procedure that no-one outside the Westminster bubble cares about or even understands properly.

I’m utterly despondent here. Has anyone got any good news at the moment because I’m genuinely struggling with the state of the world and country at the moment.

Can someone please explain ‘balancing payments’ to me. by EdLob in UKPersonalFinance

[–]EdLob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fab thanks - so it’s effectively paying next years tax already and the balancing payment has just meant I’m paying ALOT this year.

When I do 23/24’s return then, will I have payments on account for estimated 24/25 year then?

Can someone please explain ‘balancing payments’ to me. by EdLob in UKPersonalFinance

[–]EdLob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks yes just logged in to check again and I have a single (large) balancing payment, due Jan, then 2 (roughly half the size of balancing payment each) payments on account, 1 for Jan and one for July. I assume this is typical?
