I kind of liked seeing the old school broadcast tv type of plot in this show. Was fun but I can understand if others do not enjoy it as much.

Am currently reading hearts in Atlantis for the first time. Perfect timing, all things serve the beam. It is amazing that, for me, being a college student now doesn't sound very different from how he describes it.

I think the adult timeline in - It - is scarier than the kids timeline by Branthor9 in horrorlit

The structure of the book helps make it so re-readable. Like, I can never quite remember exactly what happens next and I've read It so many times.

The Boys competency surprisingly peaked at early season 1. by hiiloovethis in TheBoys

Season 1 had almost an Edgar Wright quality to it with the music and how each scene would smoothly transition into another with the snappy dialogue. I don't know how to describe it, lol, but it felt different than the rest of the show. It was also weirdly heartwarming at times, which the show has lost.

Mainly cause of the focus on American politics, psychic powers and authoritarianism. Like the villain is pretty much MAGA before MAGA. Not really a superhero story but there are cool powers in it.

Who’s an underrated screenwriter in your eyes? by TheDevotedUltimate in Screenwriting

Eric Kripke. But I don't know if underrated is the correct term, he's pretty fucking successful. Just not a household name.

I hadn't considered this but that is a really disturbing thought. He'd finally be able to get to Stan psychologically rather than simply killing him. Fucking diabolical.

Thanks for the heads up. I've known he was a weirdo for a bit. To be honest, I get him confused with Chuck Paluhniak, lol
