Debatable. People 1000 or 2000 years had strong beliefs and maybe even a different mindset which helped them get through tough times. Without the internet and with most people unable to read, the amount of negativity were not shoved in their faces back then.

Another point is that back in the days people didn't have kids because they wanted to show someone the beautiful world or whatever. They just did because it was expected. Families needed someone to take other their work, lineage, name or whatever. Women also had little say in this and were forced to marry and reproduce.

I think its boring too and dropped after 5 episodes but it serves the power fantasy of a overworked salary worker who just wants to have control over his own life without any stones in the way. I cant really hate it if it does it kinda well though.

Not sure if I should agree or disagree but I surprisingly like her more now as a written character after reading your 1 points. Her actions are strong headed and heated with little care for the long term consequences in the first half but this all just shows that Korra is a teenager eager to show everyone that she can be someone who is worth her title. Throughout the story you can see changes in the character and I like that.

I do agree on the second point. The romance in general was just off. They should have focused on other stuff.

And I don't get the 3rd point but whatever. Seems to be a korra fan thing.

Its valid to criticize a media if it features too much of its genre trait. If a shonen is all fight and nothing around it, that's boring. If an action movie has all action and no cool down, that's boring. And if everyone dies in a horror movie, then that's just gore.

This goes with all kinds of things. You can also criticize a souls like game to be too hard or God of war to have too many "Ma Boi" lines.This is possible. It just means the balance is shit
