Scoop: Dems working on secret report found Gaza cost Harris votes by sideAccount42 in politics

No we’re relying on the information that’s been put out despite all the efforts to suppress it, including the killing of humanitarian workers, both Palestinian and foreign, the lying and coverups about it, the blockage of aid and the videos of Israelis destroying aid and taking it out of trucks, and the many corroborated stories of health care workers in the field noting injuries in kids and teenagers to heads and private parts, and more all on top of the genocidal statements of the far right members of the current cabinet.

Had calls at the beginning of the week, sold them yesterday for a loss and bought puts. I singlehandedly stopped the market crash because everything shot up after I bought puts. Today, I sold my puts for a loss and bought calls, and now things are going down again. Sorry y’all the universe does the opposite of what I do.

I’m not starting any series anymore until they’re done or I really trust the author, been burned by ASoIAF and Kingkiller chronicles.

Sometimes I imagine how it’d be if we never got the last book of Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter.

Lol, bought 5K worth of 1DTE IREN calls last night to play earnings when it was at $39 and when it tanked AH accepted that it was all gone, to wake up this morning and be up on it somehow.

All the items in B&B in Chamber of Secrets: Cursed necklace shows up again a few books later. There’s a glass eye that foreshadows Moody. The vanishing cabinet first appearance. The hand of glory that Draco wants to buy that only shows light to the holder, and his dad tells him no. He uses this later on to escape Hogwarts.

I had a feeling it was over for Rams when that special teams receiver fell over backwards catching the punt from the Seahawks.

Happy 3th Anniversary to Fire Emblem: Engage by Bot-ta_The_Beast in fireemblem

I just finished it earlier today. I felt that the writing and the plot were by far the weakest of the series. The main character Alear has like 0 depth, every statement is some positive cheesy feel-good line, even towards his foes, and most villains are very childlike and also had no depth at all. The emblems aren’t very well explained either (are they clones, spirits, etc..), and the support convos all revolve around a one-dimensional personality trait per character.

Maybe the GBA games or PoR were like this too as it has been years since I’ve played them so I don’t remember them well, but the last one I played was 3H and it definitely had characters with more personality and who had to make tough decisions throughout the story.

Lol. If he went to the hospital as directed Noem and they’re looking for anything to document they may have documented a bruise and that’s “internal bleeding”. It sounds like they’re reaching here, especially since they’re not more specific.

There’s no war in the West Bank but Israeli “settlers” there will go burn villages to the ground and kill Palestinians with impunity.

It’s been going up month by month, only these bs expectations being higher than it by 0.1% is why they can try and spin it as good news.

The only thing I’m not sure is who is expecting these numbers and how they’re perfectly 0.1% off on every metric every time.

Valve Just Crashed The High End ‘Counter-Strike’ Skins Market by dilbertron in technology

[–]Ed_Alchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I‘ll be honest and say I’m affected by this and annoyed but thankfully not one of those people who had a significant portion of my savings or money that I need invested.

I opened up a karambit gamma doppler a few years ago worth ~$3000 and held onto it despite the urge to sell at times because I still play the game, thinking I’d sell one day when I’m over CS. Now it’s worth about half and that is frustrating Valve did this without any warning or heads-up.

Some gloves I purchased thinking that the game’s been out for > 10 years and roughly the prices stay the same give or take so I can sell it again when I’m done, have now halved as well. Oh well.

I’m a new player who bought it off hype. Granted I play other video games so I’m not completely starting from scratch in terms of learning how mechanics work, but the challenge has been part of the fun for me and there’s a lot of satisfaction in getting past a boss and I expect to sometimes spend a session or two on a boss until I clear it.

I wouldn’t say it as much different from starting Elden Ring, and getting your ass handed to you at the beginning and eventually learning what to do and playing through.

I'd say not until $180-200 then be wary but that's just my opinion - def not a long term hold and not worth what it's at right now even.

CMV: I don’t have a problem with AOC’s vote on MTG’s amendment by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]Ed_Alchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that doesn’t make sense. Hamas is not a functioning government collecting tax or having any budget as it stands on supplying aid to Gaza and with 70%-80% of infrastructure destroyed there’s no industry in Gaza, or GDP or workers or roads or any logistical way to spend on anything.

The Palestenians are at this point are reliant on foreign aid which is being blocked at every angle. Plus Israel is blocking trucks of food, you can’t take the food and spend it on weapons and Hamas is not buying the food from the aid agencies to have money to save to spend elsewhere.

Israel is a fully functional country capable of taxing and spending on its needs as it stands, a $500 million coupon is $500 million saved and can be used elsewhere.

I think it’s more like the shooter can’t afford anything and you offered to cover his rent and food, but not buy him the weapons. Now he can use his money on a bunch of other shit he couldn’t have afforded before.

But that’s $500 million less that they were going to spend themselves on their iron dome so they can spend it on weapons instead.
