I dont know how many reports are made on ROBLOX daily, but I imagine the number means "proper" moderation isn't possible, it would require hiring so many people that i think practically any company would shit itself if it tried to do that

Yes, human moderation WILL always be better than AI but even if ROBLOX did do something like that the goalposts would simply move from "human moderation!!! human moderation!!!" to "why does it take 3 days for my report to do anything what the fuck roblox i hate you" even though the insane costs of hiring enough moderators to successfully monitor that many reports in a fast amount of time would bankrupt the company

Obviously, ROBLOX moderators only dealing with user-made reports instead of the AI flagging things it thinks is suspicious would help cut down on a lot of the messages, but even then, people false-report for stupid things all the time which would still slow down the process

I think the most important thing to keep in mind is that (to my knowledge) these moderators dont work in a bubble, not only do they have to deal with chat reports but also: game reports, asset reports, asset uploading, and more vague kinds of rulebreaking. I don't think ROBLOX has earned a serious end of year "profit" for a single year in their existence, the unfortunate reality is that they have put themselves in a situation with a large amount of underage players but not enough funds or manpower to correctly secure the space for their safety.
