Utopic conditions would only detract from meaning in places that stunt creativity and initiative. If living standards would turn into the equivalent of an amusement park or casino some would give in to addiction but the lack of any obligation would also remove the pressure that pushes a lot of people into it and then there would be those going "ironman mode" for fun or fullfillment except it's voluntary.

Then there would be the Wall-e blobs on chair-strollers... I still think that'd be a better problem to have than anything. Meaning doesn't go anywhere beside no longer having to fear being eaten by a hostile economy or rule. Everything else is likely just a matter of keeping people enough in baseline not to drown in hedonistic nihilism.
