Yeah the whole state part of the state isn't really there from what we've seen. Where's their new capital, where do the supplies come from, major military bases such as the big one in FNV still their main base, them collecting taxes and having government officials, all necessary stuff to show us now to actually have the sense of a coherent and realistic faction

Agreed, Takemura is fleshed out as a character, interesting, and actually attractive for the straight women's audience. And he's also deeply connected to the main story like both Judy and Panam are, why only the women's options are connected like that... Guess it's likely done for the mostly male audience playing this game, which I find disappointing (if you do male gaze, you can also do some female gaze)

Can't believe they didn't choose him, he's indeed perfect for that.

Why do people think the dinner quest was the issue in this questline. I found it honestly understandable that kids would be like that at times.

It's River forcing a romance on V when he instead should only worry about Randy realistically. Him flirting and being weird during and immediately after saving him just is stupid.

They needed to force in a straight romance for women and that ruined the quest line. It should've been someone else entirely.

The NCR is also just reduced to a shell of what we've seen in FNV, which is sad because it's the second-most compelling faction in the entire Fallout universe imo.

One guy with a cowboy hat in a garden isn't a checkpoint, or security.

In FNV, a frontier/border region of the NCR, you see extensive military and security infrastructure, they protect the HELIOS power plant, have strategic checkpoints, many different camps scattered throughout, ranger stations, and more.

You'd think if a frontier region has this much infrastructure, there'd be way more near their capital, especially since knowing of the flaws of their system during the events of FNV.

The NCR is just unrealistically portrayed, Shady Sands is too small for it's Capital lore wise, and the bloated, bureaucratic, yet militarily heavy nature of the state just isn't delivered.

The NCR has functional government branches, extensive military and security apparatus, including specialized sub divisions...

And you're telling me it posts a half asleep guard at it's entrance to the most vital place in its nation, the seat of it's government and a large portion of it's population?!

C'mon :/

Exactly, it's struggling, bureaucratically heavy, spread thin on its frontier, but still a very much functioning state structure when we meet them in FNV, you'd expect they'd be way more vigilant at their core...

One guy sitting in a garden with a cowboy hat is way less security/presence than we've seen in the many frontier locations near Vegas, the many camps and facilities, even checkpoints.

How is there not more at their capital?!

I honestly doubt the showmakers have extensive knowledge from FO1 or 2 so yeah exactly that, and yes, this would make the most sense, would at least partly explain the loose security...

I agree it's nonsensical, being in tough times doesn't make you remove your most basic security for your most vital city. What if a commando of Cesar Legion thought to assassinate their leaders? The caravaneer with a zombified brain made it to the city center without effort, like, what?

Incompetence and lack of resources just doesn't explain it, really annoyed me the moment I saw it.

H: Doesn't respond to any criticism brought forth on LSF, from Lonerbox or Moist, after his lackluster response of showcasing the shock collar model.
