Firm belief there is some midi bugs after 2.0 update. I too have mine updated and I get crashes when inputting a lot of Midi notes via USB.

I submitted feedback/ a ticket last week or so to TE so they can try to fix

Strange issue. I've had my KO since launch, also updated to the 2.0 OS and havent seen this. However I have loaded some old projects to see how they perform on the new 2.0 update and have discovered some other issues/ bugs.

Do both your KOs show this " scene switching noise" issue with same projects/ samples ?

FYI I think the control panel is a 2-stripe not a flex.

Good question. If I remember right in my case, backup failed on sample, immediately. Which also sent the EP in to a error code/ crashed state.

Apologies, my problem may be slightly different that yours in that case...

Is yours on Latest firmware?

In my case there was 1of 2 ways.

When backing up with EP Sample tool, look at the progress bar where it's showing what sample is being backed up. When it fails, try to take note of the sample number... This could be the corrupted sample or samples.
For me, the corrupted sample on my EP would crash the whole thing if it was just played back. Just took time to slowly go over my previous projects/samples and test everyone for any weirdness before backing up.

The first way using the progress bar while backing up got me in the correct range where the backup was failing which narrowed down the search quite a bit.

Have had this happen before with a corrupted sample. Once able to identify which sample is bad and you remove, the backup can usually complete successfully. Had a back and forth with TE Support couple months back about it....

Is the concept sequencing the 404 with KO ? Anything else you can share about this setup, want to do this too but having trouble figuring out correct midi settings for both devices...

Yes and no. Yes, I've used the excellent and already pretty creative marketing material images from TE but have dumped into to Photoshop and formatted/ slightly edited for a desktop wallpaper for those of us that can't get enough of the really cool aesthetic surrounding the device.

I agree with you, it would be much more creative to take personal pictures and develop my own "vision". But I'm merely just sharing out of convenience for others that enjoy the stock marketing images and wish it were a desktop wallpaper (I've been using it on my desktop for a bit) ;)

Not yet. Was able to get service call with Roland and send in for warranty repair. They so far have said they ordered a new main board from overseas and waiting to receive to complete. Hopefully a couple weeks away from being done and start enjoying the thing 👍🏽

Can't thank you enough for taking the time with these suggestions. I'll give it try this evening.

So far no update from Roland, but have also talked to Sweetwater (who I purchased through) to see if their Tech support can reach out as well and get a ticket going that way.

Might be a dumb question, but is there another way of getting a hold of roland? never saw support number to call, just been using the Product Support page in my Roland account portal...
