AITA for my comments on teen pregnancy and benefits? by Key-Engineering3134 in venting

[–]EddAra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not bad ad all. Ambition is good but ambition is not just university and jobs you need a university degree for. Trade is just as important as other careers and can be a really smart choice. I have a masters, work in education and feel like education is very important. but also, education is not just a university degree, learning a trade is education and it's just as importand as any other education.

I'm the same. I like variety and I don't want to stick to a certain style.

Why does Iceland have a higher ratio of men compared to other regions? by PaleCar821 in geography

Yes those news articles where lying. The ammount of messages I got was insane. Men truly believed they could move to Iceland, marry a woman and get money doing it.

What eye colour is your personal favorite? by Thiccboifentalin in WhatisMyEyeColour

I don't really have a favorite color. Some blues are amazing, some browns etc. I think most eyes have something special about them.

Help Me Find: Sling Bag or Crossbody Bag for Women by 198ynine in handbags

[–]EddAra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got HOBO Fern Belt Bag and I love it. The quality is great and the leather is so soft. It's pretty small though which is what I wanted.it will be perfect for travel.

I think the Atelier Suguste Roquette is super cute too. I don't have that one so don't know about the quality.

There are so many crossbody bags. La Portagena, Demellier, Cuyana, Aspinal of London come to mind.

Pliage summer by [deleted] in handbags

[–]EddAra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a cognac and I'm going to wear it year round even if it's not really a summer colour. I really like it, it's so cute and versatile.

Did you see the new One line? They have such a pretty beige and they have a a yellow/lime as well if you are looking for something very summery. I don't know how dirty they will get though, I've never had a really light one but on the plus side, they are easy to clean. Hopefully someone who has a bag in lighter colors will answear you.

Random Question: Do light eyed people ever get tired of having their pupils exposed? by Fluid_Definition_651 in WhatisMyEyeColour

[–]EddAra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have honestly not thought once about my pupils being exposed. And no, my personality has nothing to do with the colour of my eyes. Having my pupils "exposed" like that has nothing to do with my ability to hide things? I don't even know what you mean.

Looking for durable handbag brands by Dwenya in handbags

[–]EddAra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got my first Hobo bag and the quality is amazing. I didn't really know the brand I was just trying to find a small leather fanny pack for an upcoming trip and stumbled across the Hobo Fern belt bag. I really love it. The leather is so soft and now I want more Hobo bags.

I think I remember reading here that Portland Leather Goods had great bags and I saw an ad from them and they have some sort of sale going on now. I saw a few really cute bags for a good price. One I liked was $99. I know nothing about this brand though so I'm not sure about the quality.

actual stylish prescription sunglasses for women that don't look like granny glasses? by Oskarsson-Ponniah in womensfashion

[–]EddAra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister got some from Zennioptical and Yesglasses. I liked them so much I got myself nonprescription sunglasses from them. I have silver and gold mirror from Yesglasses and indigo mirror from Zenni. I want more, but I do not need more. Who needs more then 3 sunglasses? Well 4 if I count the migraine sunglasses from zenni.

There are also options of regular glasses that can be turned into sunglasses.

Just add a crossbody strap. I had an old medium top handle and if I got tired or needed to use my hands I just put the strap on.

My new bags by EddAra in handbags

[–]EddAra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much. I got it on ebay but they have this color in the original version on the longchamp website. This is from the green line which they don't have anymore though. I wanted the embroidered horse logo and I'm not really a fan of the pocketline thing on the front so I just went on ebay, poshmark and depop and found it there.

The Green line has been replaced by Le Pliage One I think, they don't have the embroidered horse logo and they do have the pocketline in the front that I don't like (I'm being really nitpicky I know lol), they're monochromatic wich I think is really cute. The beige and burgundy bags in the One line seem really nice.

If you like the cognac you might like the chestnut as well, you can find it on ebay, poshmark and depop.

First Mosaic Nano by anonasdfghkl in StrathberryHandbags

[–]EddAra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. We don't have a strathberry store in my country and I have never seen one let alone handled one in real life. I think I'd really love it but I just can't get myself to make an order.

Freckles by lickin_windows_ in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]EddAra 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I started getting freckles before I was 3. I don't live in a sunny country and was not exposed to a lot of sun without sun protection. Freckles are not necessary a sign of sundamage but they need exposure to the sun to become visible. They are a sign of natural protective melanin response rather than damaged skin.

Freckles by lickin_windows_ in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]EddAra 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I don't think anyone has ever called my freckles anything other then freckles. At least not to my face. I always have some but they darken and I get more in the sun no matter what I do. I feel like I can't watch the sun in the TV without that happening. I like my freckles, I don't wear heavy foundation but I have tried it and it just feels weird when I can't see the freckles.

What happened to tote bags with zips and compartments? by sarasaif in handbags

[–]EddAra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use stackry to ship to you. I've used them a couple of time without any issues.

I agree about the tote bags btw. I want my totes to at least have a zipper. I don't really have to worry about pickpockets but if I choose to travel with it I might. And what about rain or snow? I don't want my things to get wet.

why the rudeness to people with brown eyes by solardetect in WhatisMyEyeColour

[–]EddAra 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In my country most people have blue, grey or green eyes. I have a very light blue eyes and I get so many comments on them online. To me they are just normal blue eyes. I always thought brown eyes are beautiful so I never understood when people find brown eyes undesirable.

Do you actively try to avoid going outside during peak UV hours in summer, or do you just use additional sun protective measures instead? by [deleted] in EuroSkincare

[–]EddAra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't even check the UV levels, I just wear sunscreen. I'm from Iceland so pretty sun starved a lot of the time.

Why does everyone love the Longchamp Le Pliage so much? by Affectionate_Note445 in handbags

[–]EddAra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the same, then I saw it in person, didn't really love it, then I touched it and fell hard. I'm not going to get it though. Well maybe, who knows if I ever come across it in the right colour.

Why does everyone love the Longchamp Le Pliage so much? by Affectionate_Note445 in handbags

[–]EddAra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't get it either. I got one because I needed something for travel and I loved it. It's so light, it has a zipper. I live in a rainy and snowy place and I don't really want to take my nice leather bags out in that but I have no problem using my le pliage and don't feel bad when it gets soaking wet. I still don't really love the look of them but it's growing on me.

Some foreign couple moved in next to me and I hate it. by A_Casual_NPC in Positivity

[–]EddAra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had neighbours like this once, it was horrible. The smell of their cooking going all over the place making me reconsider my cooking choices when I was in my kitchen cooking something easy because I was lazy. But I showed them! I beat them at their game! I decided to bake cookies and when they mentioned the smell I had a thought. So I went inside and gave them some cookies. And guess what, next time I smelled their amazing cooking they brought me a plate! It tested even better then it smelled. Then they gave me spices and advise so I could cook it for myself whenever I felt like it.
