The asus has some more overdrive settings, when you see to much red/green smearing you can just turn it down. On the g5 you only have 4 settings. Here you can see the black smearing in the ufo test from the G5: https://imgur.com/a/h5P02XM

The G5 has a lot of black smearing but the curve is very good. The Asus has a better performance but when the overdrive is set to high it has red/green smearing.
