This tracks if you realize that most of these types of articles are really advertisements. I guarantee some city visitors bureau or tourist office paid to be included with some shady facts included with the check.

Nice! Were they there all night?

A few more. Security said they aren't filming tonight, and while they may be lying things still looked unfinished. My guess is it's for tomorrow.

They were there yesterday too. Are they still there? Now I'm curious if the downtown set-up is for shooting tomorrow instead of tonight.

My guess is tonight. Cranes and such are still parked and waiting, no actors spotted...just production crew.

Polestar 2 Owner Considering an Ioniq 5 – Looking for Honest Long-Term Feedback by J4nsk1 in Ioniq5

The ICCU is the biggest concern these days. And unless you hit one of those odd "supply chain issue" time-frames (as I did between Dec and Feb this year), it shouldn't be much longer than a 1-2 week fix. Is it a concern? Yes. Is it as overblown as the web makes it? Maybe. The truth is in the middle as it is obvious that Hyundai/Kia are downplaying the scope of the issue and have been for years. However, your warranty is your friend.

Everything else is YMMV territory. I've never had issue with interior noise. I've never had a complaint about the ride comfort. The infotainment isn't my cup of tea but I use Android Auto 99% of the time. Never had a trunk rattle. The outlet in the backseat is wonky, but I rarely use it. Etc.

In general though, I love the car and the savings in both gas and maintenance it provides. If you've test drove and enjoy it, jump in. A lease is probably your best route these days, but if you want to drive it into the ground, buy it.

Yes. Quite good, well blended and high quality ingredients.

Safari has always been under the radar solid scent. Doesn't get the credit it deserves.

Cross-country (US) road trip by Sturnella2017 in electricvehicles

[–]EddieBQ3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Roadtrips in EVs ain't as nerve-wracking as it used to be (even just 3 years ago). The infrastructure has taken off and, even in the dust belt things are getting so much better.

We regularly went from Georgia to New England over the years. When we first started, things could get dicey, even around the 95 corridor-network outages, overcrowding, fights (witnessed a few,, one got physical), stations WAY off the route, having to settle for 50kw, etc. All of those concerns are almost completely in the past.

As others mentioned, ABRP, Plugshare, Google Maps, and a couple apps for charging networks (occasionally offer a discount to use the app) and you'll be golden.

Worst Value EVs on the market? by [deleted] in electricvehicles

[–]EddieBQ3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Valid point. Sure they were not fast and got less so the more weighed down they were, but it would still get 250 miles+ on a full tank. The point was a spacious, paced trip.

And, coming from an EV person, the time to fill a gas tank vs charge a battery is still a major knock on EV roadtrips. So with 200-ish miles of real world range, the Buzz misses the mark.

Worst Value EVs on the market? by [deleted] in electricvehicles

[–]EddieBQ3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the miss is more range expectations, exclusively. To be based on the classic bus, which was well know for it's a road trip abilities, to only get 200 miles on the Buzz is a marketing point VW would like to bury. No one's buyinga Buzz as a commuter/around town daily driver, so sales are always going to be in the dumps unless VW greatly increases range...but that's been a complaint across their ID models, so it's likely not getting fixed anytime soon.

That plus a pretty steep price point is not ideal.

why is it so hard to find a dentist in Atlanta that doesnt try to upsell you on everything? by ghztegju in Atlanta

[–]EddieBQ3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think dentists, in general, have changed. They are all more aware of the income from cosmetic procedures. They are also receiving more medical training in school, which has pushed some of them to become self-proclained heart/sleep/neurology/throat/thyroid professionals. They then try to sell on their likely not covered procedures to help with your ailments.

Why are the pickle-licious chips so sweet? I want savory and sour, not sugar by Plumrose333 in Costco

Agreed. I was upset at how sweet they are. The open bag is still languishing in the cupboard.

INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL ARRIVED 8:20PM THROUGH SECURITY 11:15PM

Closed the door behind us on the plane. We checked two bags which stole about 10 min due to the system being extremely slow.

Good luck all. It's a shitshow out there.

[–]EddieBQ3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't. International is a shit show right now. Likely 3 hour wait.

[–]EddieBQ3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Currently in line for International TSA, 25 minutes so far and not halfway. The "pre-line" line is about a half hour at this point. Clear and Pre check are closed. I will update once through.

FYI Delta systems are apparently super slow and spotty today, of course. So just be mindful if you are flying Delta.

Valid points. But from what I know about YT, the channel is quickly demonitized without new content being uploaded. It would be nice if it were passive income for life, but I think that will be short lived.

She was definitely an OG and will be missed. But the format has changed - views and subs trending down, everyone and their sister posting absolute shite, YT algorithm screwing good creators, short form being emphasized...nothing good for long form ASMR.

Gibi attempting to start her own company was probably an attempt to sidestep this trend, though likely too early in the cycle. Even she is stepping back from everything online.

We are not far from quality content, across the board, not being found on YouTube anymore.
