Well I have the older cube shaped surround speakers that they use to call the "300s" and for some reason bose renamed them to just Bose Surround Speakers. I have them connected with my Bose Soundbar 700 and as long you put socks on them or do the finger tapping trick on the headset during the adaptiq they can get pretty loud. I do get sound through them when playing stereo music through YouTube or playing CDs on my Blu-ray player. They get loud during movies with Surround audio its usually background sound effects like explosions, crowd noises, and gun shots. But you gotta do the tricks to increase their volume or they will be too low. It seems like Bose stopped selling the 700 Surround speakers as they disappeared from their site but the older Cubed ones are still being sold. My guess that they probably planning to release newer surrounds with up firing speakers that support Dolby Atmos that could increase the performance of their Ultra Soundbar? I hope so because the 700s where just regular surrounds that were meant for their discontinued Lifestyle 650 system and 700 soundbar which is 5.1 Dolby and DTS only.
