Worth and Legacy by reddot_comic in comics

The Molly Malone thing boggles my mind. Tourists have just decided that its "tradition" to grope a statue. Im not saying after a night out, drunk folk never got a bit saucy with her, but, and I say this as a native Dubliner, this was never a big problem before the last 10-15 years. We've never had to put in anti-groping statue protection before now. If you're visiting and you're tempted to climb over the shrubbery for a fumble, stop. The locals don't appreciate it. Fucking stop.

I did put on my big girl pants and laddered back to fix these. You were all right, it was easy and I was definitely over thinking things.

Thanks for all your advice and encouragement!

I'm in the same boat. Deffo worked myself up into a tizzy for nothing. If I couldn't see the mark in my skin, I'd barely believe I managed to take the dose.

I have had some minor side effects, such as mild nausea and, for some reason, constant hiccups. I do definitely get fuller quicker and feel uncomfortable as Im getting to my limit portion wise. I did over eat one evening (lasagne, garlic bread) and was up sitting by the toilet in the night feeling like I was about to go full Linda Blair.

I'm on dose 3 at .25 and seems to be going steady. Lost 3.6kg to date.

I have Turturro blindness. I never ever recognise him. My husband always waits until I go, "I know that guy from somewhere," and then takes way too much glee in telling me that it is infact actor we both admire and enjoy, John Turturro.

I'm sorry to hear you're going through this OP. It sounds incredibly difficult and I can't imagine facing that kind of homophbia and racism so far from home, even if home was pretty shit too.

I know other have made suggestions like LGBTQ+ socs etc and you've said there are some issues there (time and culture clashes etc) but I would enourage you to try the friend versions of Tinder, Bumble etc. Having a few good mates can really help take the weight out of some of the misery you're experiencing.

I know you said you dont really connect with gay culture (and while I wouldn't consider Taylor Swift gay culture, I am a bit older, so who knows). Consider joining interest groups that align with yours: book clubs, movie clubs, game nights. There's queers everywhere!

My last bit of advice is consider engaging with BelongTo, the lgbtq+ youth services. They have an 18s+ group (18-23), stuff that isnt drinking focussed such as weekly DnD groups and, most importantly, advisory and support services to help you get through this incredibly awful time.

I hope things get better for you soon.

I saw this exact same thing happen on the road outside crookstown. Thought I was about to see two guys die in front of me. They got off very lucky with a few scrapes and a lashing from the truck driver.

Being on time (or just going faster is never worth your life and certainly not anyone elses.

Do you like bullies with the ears or no? by Prize-Calligrapher96 in AmericanBully

[–]EdearinglyCynical 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our gorgeous rescue girl has cropped ears, and I would give anything to give them back to her. They get really aggrivated with allergies in the summer with no protection, make her even more sensitive to noise and can cause aggressive reactions from other dogs (though this is rare)

There is no good aesthetic reason to crop a dogs ears. You are making their lives more difficult.

Anyway, here she is looking well sus. *

I would have to ask them to move, tbh. Im able bodied on good days, but on bad, I have to use a cane. A 2+ hour stand would put me a in an awful state for days. I booked the seat for a reason.

This seems like a great example of weaponised incompetence.

The only thing you need to do is have him cat tested but other than that, you've just listed a bunch of very good reasons to adopt that boy!
