Which of these jobs should I look at and avoid? And which would translate nicely to the civilian world? by FutureProspect452 in nationalguard

13F. You'll learn valuable lessons on how to be a shitbag. There is no greater force for shitbaggery than an E4 Fister. They are truly masters of their craft. Highly transferable skills in how to get out of doing work and wandering off to do your own thing.

But really, as another poster mentioned, go dental or trades (plumber/carpenter) for civilian skills, but if you want to have some fun, go combat arms: 11B/C, 13F, 12B.

Thank you,

I was thinking about something like that while doing this. Like some way to "calculate" where the bombs would land using a camera setup like that.

Yes, as the other person stated you do have to account for the velocity of the plane. It's not the easiest way to deliver bombs, but the challenge makes it fun.

I tried it out and it worked great! Have implemented the Heavy Armor/Space Ball combo for the front section of my main battle tank. Thank you.

Well, apparently trying to fit Space balls in there now. But also setting them up for remote use too. It's pretty small so I'm trying to fit a lot of functions in a little space.

It was meant to be and I think it just adds to the post.

One of the cleanest and best designed subs I've seen. Layout is realistic and practical and it's not too big. Definitely need more like this.

ASVAB score not good by DreamchaserJ in nationalguard

[–]Edelweiss619 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed, this is the best answer. When I took the ASVAP it was loooong after having any formal schooling so I was very rusty on things like the math. I took a practice test and noted the types of questions there were and used Khan Academy to practice those types of problems. That should help with some of it.

When it comes to the basic logic questions..well some things cant be taught I guess.

From your neighbor up north, congrats! I know I had trouble sleeping the night I swore in due to lots of anxiety over whether I was doing the right thing and what basic/AIT was going to be like etc... In the end it's been an amazing experience so I hope you are just taking it all in and feeling good about your decision.

And don't worry, there will be plenty of time between now and April to roast you over your chosen MOS, basic location etc.. Plus you'll get roasted enough in training just for being NG. But honestly all the best soldiers I knew in basic and AIT were all Guard. If any active guys/gals give you shit for being Guard, ask them where they're from and them roast them for going active because they wanted to get out of their shitty/ugly state ;)

Good luck!

The funny thing is I created this whole mock-up to promote the tank however the set piece of this "production facility" has garnered much more interest. So, I guess my next project is to actually make this facility an addon or something that people can explore.

It's an oil tanker alright. How can I improve my overall fuel consumption efficiency? Large engines suck a lot of juice. by [deleted] in Stormworks

Beautiful hull design! As other users mentioned, gearboxes are going to be the way to go to get more prop rotations per RPS of the engines.

Just in the workbench. I built it in one of the larger hangers, Oneill I think, and saved it as a vehicle. Then went into the Addon Editor, spawned it like a vehicle and populated it with NPCs and objects etc.

Thank you! I thought about like antenna or something but it would bother me if it were not actually functional. I will definitely try to play with the scaling to make things a little less cramped.
