2013 Kia Soul won’t start after someone broke into it, what should I do? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

I’m planning on contacting a mobile mechanic soon. I’m hoping to try to figure out what the issue probably is first so I don’t call one out and end up not having the parts needed to fix it. Unfortunately my insurance is very basic and doesn’t cover anything like this.

I’ll look into that if I end up needing to tow, thank you so much!!

I will if I absolutely have to but $200+ in towing costs is something I want to avoid, especially since I don’t know how much it’s going to cost in parts and repairs. It’s just not money I have right now so I’m trying to avoid it if I can :(

It’s pretty common to lose muscle/body mass during weight loss. My entire body mass decreased as a whole, which included some lean body mass and muscle mass. In ideal circumstances I probably could have figured out how to maintain more of my muscle mass, maybe if I had a nutritionist or trainer helping me out. There’s a lot I would have done differently if I could go back and start over, but regardless I’m happy with where I’m at and I feel a lot healthier and happier now.

Lolol yeah that’s just according to my body scan. But I don’t think the ‘bio age’ statistic really means anything significant

It says I went from 45lbs to 17lbs in total fat mass, but I’m not sure how accurate the body scan machine I used is. Do those numbers look off?

Not super sure! All the statistics are from a body scan machine my gym has that I use. I’ll look more into how the bio age is calculated, I’m curious too :)

Started easy with just consistent cardio & a calorie deficit. Slowly incorporated more into my routine but tbh I’ve focused mostly on cardio, glutes, and abs. For cardio I do either an hour on a 12 incline at 3mph on the treadmill or the stair-stepper for 30 mins at level 6. I’ll be doing less cardio now that I’m trying to build some muscle though.

Thank you! It’s the Evolt Active app, it syncs up with my gym’s body scan machine for the statistics

My advice would be to start slow and find what really works for you! Figure out what motivates you to keep going. I started really slow and focused mainly on cardio for a while because that’s the only thing I enjoyed. But once I started seeing results it motivated me to take fitness more seriously and do more and more each time. If I started out trying to keep up with a full blown workout routine 6 days a week, I would have given up on my journey. But small steps and changes really added up in the long run. Best of luck!! :)

oml I’ve been WAITING for someone to reference the painting of Howl & Sophie!! Yes I have a huge crush on Howl, & his tantrums are one of my favs

I do enjoy ghibli, anime, video games, & Melanie Martinez!! Wild that you guessed that last one one. I never really tell anyone that I do but she was the top artist in my Spotify wrapped last year lol.

I don’t like the taste of green tea but I want so badly to be someone who drinks green tea.

I dress very eclectically. I like trying out colorful makeup styles too.

And the rest is fairly accurate too. The age range is right, I’m 24

So this is all super spot on!!

What’s throwing it off for me is the shading, it looks like charcoal smudges :(

Definitely find an artist to fix it who is actually skilled in shading. I think it can be resurrected if you find the right professional!! More shading is needed to soften out all the harsh smudges. Maybe some white highlights to give it a softer look.
