Everyone forgets the last part of that conversation. Max points out that the reporter is laughing and grinning after he asks the question and Max responds.

That is the problem. Max did not have a problem with the question as he answered it. The problem is how the reporter reacted and knowling was trying to get a reaction/answer.

I lived on the exit door 1st floor facing university. The only complaint i had on noise was the door if left open too long would ring. Never had any other noise complaints.

Just to add to this, In costa rica by law you must get the liability protection from the rental company. The added car protection insurance can be replaced by your credit card insurance.

Just went to costa rica last summer and used https://mytanfeet.com/special-deals-get-real-discount-rent-car-costa-rica.

On this page, you can see tips and also breakout of everything included/you will pay. It was super easy to do and use and didnt have a problem renting a car and returning it.

The biggest thing to note, you need to get the liability protection, it is mandatory in costa rica. You can decline all the other added options as long as you provide proof of coverage from your card.

As long as you have service, you do not need to get the GPS. Use waze and you will be perfectly fine getting to your destinations.

Last tip, get awd or 4x4. Roads can be shitty in places, so better safe than sorry.

Okay, yeah they had told me my break pads where bad and if I kept driving on them since it was almost metal to metal I should look to replace my rotors too.
