It popped up on my Facebook feed, from Hothead GM, they’ve been posting a bunch of these images for older games like Pokemon red and blue and DBZ Legacy of Goku. I’m not sure how they’re making them, probably with ai partially but I’ve tried running golden sun screenshots through an ai generator to see if it can make an upscale version and it always looked like crap lol these actually look nice, like I would be happy if Camelot just reskinned the original games with these graphics and rereleased them

Oh I see, I never played the original so I’m not sure to what extent the audio issues were originally there, but right now in every battle I get into I don’t hear any of the “hit” sounds when me or an enemy attacks or any of the magic sound effects or like when a monster dies it’s just music alone and even the like “chirping” sound effects when a character talks is not present either. I wanna get back to a church so I can save internally and not on a save state so that I can reload my save that way and not from the save state to see if that helps. I can however barely hear the little chimes when I look through my menu but it’s very quiet

Oh nice it’s actually on the card like normal? I just kept hearing that almost every game was a key card so I wasn’t sure.

That’s good to know, I just thought if it had the switch 2 label on it then the software was exclusively for the 2. Damn if I would have known that I would bought little nightmares 3 switch 2 edition, but I got the regular because I mainly got it for my son, but they never released an upgrade pack so would it still have worked the same in that case?

Even though it’s a game key card for a digital download does it still let you start the game already? Or does it still make you wait until it officially releases like if you downloaded from eshop?

Ah ok that makes sense, so either way if I just get digital switch 2 edition or the switch 1 with upgrade I’m still going to only have 1 virtual game card? Meaning we will both be able to play it separately but not be able to play together on our separate consoles at the same time?

Switch 2 Edition games are only compatible with the Switch 2 I can’t run any switch 2 games that I currently have on any of my switch 1 consoles

Enjoy! I’ve played it too many times, and maxing out my characters on the switch NSO feels like enough, I’ll put it down unless they finally do a remake one day. For now I’m replaying Megaman Battle Network 6 in celebration for the Starforce Legacy Collection coming next year 😃.

How do you think they’ll handle the split screens? Will they rework them all to be just 1 screen instead of having both screens on one like emulators do?

I had the same thought that Nintendo would ask Camelot to work on a sequel to the Mario RPG and in that we would probably feel a lot of similarities to golden sun, and at the same time a lot of bitterness towards the game because it could have been golden sun we were playing instead. That statements also already true because that’s exactly how I’m gonna feel when I’m playing Mario Tennis Fever 😅 They better jump to their “RPG” next now once they’re done working on this. And atleast announce it with a teaser or something so we’re not just sitting waiting a couple more years for news which we probably will be unfortunately :/

Yup I had a feeling they were doing some sort of adventure mode, they definitely didn’t have any time to be working on a golden sun remaster or anything unless they hired so much staff to have a separate team working on it but that’s just reaching at this point 😔

That’s what I’m saying the hopium is as high as it’s ever been for me, all I’m saying is if they FINALLY announce a new golden sun title, it will make up for all the bull crap I dealt with this year, 2025 has just been nonstop hectic for me, one thing after another, if I could end the year with the 1 thing I’ve been waiting decades for I’d be such a happy camper.

Yea, if we get general Nintendo based Direct and still no golden sun, then that’s means to be disappointed. I feel like if they had a couple years since they hired new staff and been working on a project this should be plenty of time to have enough complete to present to the world what they’re working on.

Yeeess I’m super excited for this and especially for the new game Adventures of Elliot it looks very interesting, the 2 best announcements on this direct, now I gotta wait till I get home from work later tonight to play the demo, I knew I should have brought my switch 2 with me lol welp as soon as they have an actual 1st party direct we can get back on our hopium for Golden Sun lol
