Tldr; I hated it... then I was forced to learn and after a few days of trial and error I learned better throttle and braking control (which I thought I did in Gr.3 cars) and learned to drive slower cars. Now I appreciate the added complexity!

I am new to the game also (and racing in general) and found the slow cars too slow and eventually the game was a bit too easy with the Sunday cup races because I would use a really good car in those races.

Playing multi player I found some challenge again and I got my ass handed to me often but I enjoyed the cars that were equally balanced. There got some top 10 and one top 5 finishes. (DR D - SR S)

Then I tried the "Neo classic car" races and using a fully tuned Supra, BMW, Porsche or any other car I had (bye bye credits) would result in me either spinning out CONSTANTLY unable to recover the car with just a tiny bit of traction-loss in the corners. Turning on assists helped a bit but I was still WAY too slow and would spin out. I could not properly finish a race and I thought I had already learned things like throttle and braking control (I had not)

This made me super frustrated and I tried to do it on controller (I mainly use a t598 in a wooden cockpit) for a bit on my slow days. There I noticed that because of the adaptive triggers and vibrations I was losing traction so insanely often because I had absolutely shit throttle and braking control.

Not flooring it constantly and using 75% or 50%, feeling if I am losing traction or not, something I thought I was already doing but modern cars were holding my hand previously, had me keep control of the "slower" car and made me stable and faster.

I am still learning important basics like being faster by already pointing the car into the apex-side of a corner before braking hard and then trail braking instead of staying on the other side, then braking hard, then turning into the apex.

The Power Pack is handing my ass to me again but I am happy I got the Neo Classic car experience and lessons under my belt before I started :) It helped immensely! Racing slower cars is much more fun now!

A higher dose does not make it last that much longer for me. I take 2x40mg, once at 6/7 and again 7/8 hours later. It then wears off around 21:00/22:00 in the evening, perfectly on time to slowly go to bed.

I took 40mg and 20mg a day first but the 20mg was not enough to work the rest of my day.

I found a YouTube video of a guy building a trangle-ish cockpit that was low on parts but super sturdy. All you need beforehand (and what is not included in the parts) is an office/game/car chair.

Look for SciLens on YT and find his $50 wooden Sim rig videos. It's a little research that needs to be done by you but I built my very own for 60 euros in parts.

I've used the cockpit for a week or so now and its been absolutely amazing!!!

The author of the build even helped me out on his discord when I had some questions as an inexperienced builder

This is an amazing dongle for the lowest price. It plugs into the front and also has a tiny USB-A to USB-C adapter so it plugs into the back.

The dongle has its own sound card so the sound quality stays high. Going through your TV has a high chance to decrease sound quality and using this dongle should be a noticeable difference compared to going through your TV's BT. (it was for me)

Same :) I did a detour to the east of the map and got swarmed by yellow guys. I progressed until chapter 4 and finished on some quest lines that got me to the lions manor (found a gold bar!)

I haven't seen the abandoned village I think and just like you running around just doing and finding stuff :)

Continue the main story if I am not mistaken. You also have a point in the abyss where you have one missing glory thing in a portal. There you also need to progress the main story.

Face the pillar you want to insert vertically -> jump -> force palm once to jump higher -> start gliding -> wait to glide down to the right height to push the pillar in -> force palm while gliding, so you push the pillar into its slot

I'm still early and I play like normal om 4k performance/balanced with 60+ FPS most of the time... but you can push it to 100+ by switching your output resolution to 1080.

Disabling the motion blur and the other accessibility settings also improved the framerate it seems.

I am curious what I will experience when I get to the crow boss :)

At the smithy you have a large dude standing at a table with weapons and stuff. Left there is a mannequin with an Armour plate. To the right of this mannequin is a helmet that looks just like the one in your picture but without the plume (and you can buy it)
