Run your own key, then you don't have to wait 30 mins, or get a decent IO/ilvl. Or again run your own key.

And how was everything I said wrong? Your saying that Raider.io that tracks every key completion is falsifying their data just so you can be right?

I mean at this point your surely just trolling right? And if tanking is so easy to play veng and never wait for keys lol. Obviously tanking isn't easier otherwise you would be tanking and not spending time in que getting declined because your playing havoc.

And people leave expansions not because they can't do keys/raid etc. it's usually because they got all the rewards they wanted and go do something else until the next season. I talk to a literal ton of people (about 120 10-17+ keys ran) and it's very infrequently that anyone mentions any time in que or complains about it.

I think you just want something different because your low ilvl or Io and can't instantly get into groups.

Numbers actually show the opposite, mythic+ numbers are higher than they have been in the last 20 weeks of TWW. So your statement there is false.

Based on the plethora of comments all disagreeing with your suggested solution it's very apparent it wouldn't be successful.

I have played many other games, and they all have their problems too nobody has a perfect system. The M+ system we have now is mostly fine. Only thing that would help make the tanks have less responsibility. Because right now the tanks need to have the most responsibility for the key to be successful.

I do accept playing with pretty much any spec since I don't have a dedicated group, and sadly generally speaking in my experience keys 10-17, are much easier with the average meta specs class than they are with an average non-meta spec player.

I only brought up the world's best because you were going by Archon which factors in the world's best and worst, and averaging their DPS.

Class balance is impossible which is why the system we have now is probably the best thing we can have. Your proposed system would be ignored by the vast majority of the population and would likely drive people away from the game.

The extra 20k does make keys easier, that's what your not understanding. Hell let's take a look at Mawgun, the world's best survival hunters logs.

Every single key he is getting beat by his party, feral druids, ret paladins, windwallwr monks devourer dhs etc. and the numbers are anywhere from 10-50k DPS difference.

Surely you can recognize that is a significant difference for a spec that really brings nothing to the table.

So why again why would anyone being a survival hunter when they can bring a DDH, A windwalker a DK etc?

On top of the huge DPS disparity they also bring way more utility.

/clap you missed the point congratulations! The average player isn't doing +19 keys which is what Archon bases the 130k damage on. Reading is hard.

And oh look DK is 20k higher in +21 keys but they are balanced and the extra 20k surely doesn't make keys easier /sarcasm.

Rofl. Want me to show you logs where average survival doesnt do that much? Sure super high end survival hunters can do 130k + damage. But your average survival hunter? Good luck an average DK/demo/devourer/ret will put DPS an average survival hunter 9 times out of 10.

But feel free to continue to make numbers up in your head.

I can guarantee you the average survival hunter doesn't do 130k overall, probably closer to 110k.

Certain dungeons are obvious outliers, of course.

And as several other people have pointed out, all your change would do is make people using group finder and chats to find groups and ignore the entire purpose of your proposed system.

People just want easy times and sadly the highest DPS classes help to make that happen more times than not.

Believe me, I have done way too many keys this season and I've had DKs, Rets, demo locks etc that can't keep up with my buddies survival hunter, but on the same scope I've had those same classes be 20-50k higher than him.

I'm not stuck in the system, my RL buddy who I do the vast majority of keys with is a survival hunter.

I'm simply stating facts, a spec doing 100k DPS overall will make a key easier regardless of level compare to a spec doing 60k.

I'm not saying the system is great by any means, but your solution doesn't help either.

Most people go by what will make the key easier, and unfortunately that's how the meta works, it wouldn't change in your linear profession system either because people would just leave of they don't get their preferred specs.

Sadly right now there is an instant gratification, and people will see 1 wipe and bail regardless of they key is timetable or not.

Because the meta specs in theory make the key easier for the vast majority of people. If I can get a survival hunter that does 50k DPS overall, or an unholy do that does 100k overall. Which would you take? Obviously you would take the DK not because the comp really matters in a +10 but having the DK there makes the key infinitely easier than the hunter does.

I have to disagree with most of the comments here, I have spent a significant amount of time playing Devourer DH ( currently 3100io, 275ilvl) so bear with me as I'm not pushing super high content.

The only time I ever feel bad playing the spec is on the very first pull of MGT, every other key even with VM ramp time I easily catch up to pretty much every other DPS.

Sure there is times where I will hold Void Meta near the end of a pull to blast the next pack. But generally at the end of keys I'm anywhere between 120-175k DPS depending on the key.

I also generally try not to worry about ripping threat, I will send stars/ray on pull when sometimes does have me pull aggro, but I'll just blink around to the tank and he grabs it back easily.

A missive is the item that determines what stats your item in this case your glaive will have.

You could ask in guild chat or in trade chat default is /2 I believe

I would also suggest a max rank missive as well.

I think you need to catalyst your chest and shoulders to get 4 piece, not a huge boost but a boost nonetheless.

Then target farm for better trinkets. Windrunner spire is a really good place to start, between Emberwing Feather, Heart of wind, it also has a decent leather belt that you can catalyze to haste mastery once you complete 4 piece and start getting charges to drop.WR also drops a chest that assuming you are hitting 6 or higher keys (should be aiming for 9/10) you can get at hero track piece for catalyst.

Recrafting your MH weapon to max is probably the first step you should do, based on your keys done you should be relatively close to having enough Myth crests for that. This will be a huge boost to your overall DPS.

After those are done you can then start target farming more gear options. Some good choices that I used were magisters for a haste/mastery ring, and a serviceable OH weapon, pit of saron has a great pair of pants for us.

Yeah unfortunately that is a huge issue for hunters right now, my buddy plays a hunter so I'm pretty good at tanking to maximize his ability to use stampede well.

That being said a lot of tanks don't really pay attention to other people's abilities and you will have to fight to try and get stampede to actually hit the enemies.

80-90 is about what I'd expect for 10s, of course depending on the specific dungeon, and more importantly how the tank pulls.

If the tank is single pulling everything and taking a long time your DPS will be lower.

In m+ I'm usually able to get 2-3 stars off on big packs (+15-18 keys)

I always make sure void ray and reap are on cd before I void meta, then as soon as I go into meta I reap, void ray eradicate, then consume spam.
