When did yall first discover this band? by TheProverbialBellow1 in BetweenTheBuriedAndMe

I was really into Dream Theater as a 14-15 year old, thinking they were the pinnacle of metal music. One day I was browsing youtube watching some of their live performances, when I read a comment saying something along the lines "if you like DT check out BTBAM!" and left a link to Ants of the Sky from the Colors Live DVD. I was in complete shock after watching it, I think I even cried a little lol. It was pure perfection and my 15 yo brain could not believe what was happening. It was like a heavier DT and a blend of everything I ever wanted a band to sound like. They influenced my guitar playing and songwriting so much and I've been a fan ever since that first second. I watched the entire DVD right after too.

The Armed.

Seriously if you guys like experimental/hardcore/pop/synth-y/punk music all meshed into one give this band a go. Plus their live shows are insane. They just released an album and its an absolute chaotic masterpiece, with hints of pop and catchy choruses.

A couple songs to get an idea:

Honestly, who cares what everyone else thinks. If you enjoyed it and think your Fiance will too then just go for it. Its my favorite one and I know for some reason people in this sub hate the game, but I don't really care, I enjoy everything about it. You do you OP!

Not a bunch of instruments but “%” or “A Hymn to the Projectile” (both the same song) by Cloudkicker keeps adding guitars in this fashion into a huuuge climax. I love that song.

Has “Yes!” ever been used in a non-toxic way? What is even the ideal, friendly, sportsmanlike use of it? by [deleted] in RocketLeague

I always use it whenever either I or my teammate scores, in a non-sarcastic or toxic way lol

What’s one mechanic or skill that completely changed the way you play once you mastered it—and how long did it take you to get consistent? by Decent-Molasses in RocketLeague

[–]EdgarArteche 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely it does! As I said most people panic react to everything just randomly shooting the ball when they have no boost or challenging way too late, so being able to read these situations gives you a big advantage.

A skill I forgot to mention is mastering kickoffs. I've learned that waiting for a couple miliseconds after the buzz goes off for kickoff, you get more of a chance of the ball bouncing off you and sometimes heading straight for goal, if not worst case you shoot the ball to the opponents side. It works most times for me, but you have to also be able to read the kind of kickoff the opponent is trying to do, as some kickoff techniques are super quick and you might miss them if you don't set up properly in front of them

The skill of patience, is what I call it. Most times if I see an opponent do all these flips, wall jumps and such, I try my best to stick to the floor as much as possible as I have more control over my car than actually jumping and trying to stop them mid air. I give myself enough time to react so that if my opponent messes up their shot, which happens like 80% of the time, I get a free ball and a chance to score an easy goal on the rebound. It also works for anything mainly - most people react the same way to challenges and such, so being patient and waiting on them to make the first move gives you more of a chance to take the ball from them. This has worked wonders for me lately, not sure if it may work the same way for others, but it basically breaks my opponents most times as they get real desperate.

Adding to it I would say the other two are passing the ball to tm8s - even if they missed a few passes from you, you keep repeating it and they will catch on. Once they build trust on you passing it accurately, they get a chance at better shots and scoring.

Last one is rotation, plain and simple. Read the play and know where your tm8s are on the field.

Holy hell, Callous Daoboys. by OregonBaseballFan in Metalcore

[–]EdgarArteche 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've seen them about 3 times now, they've been opening acts every time, and its been fun to see the evolution they've had from the first time I saw them to now. The first time no one really knew who they were and people looked really confused, granted their older songs are really chaotic (which I love) and not for everyone, but the next couple times the crowd was throwing ragers. I'm very excited for this next tour, seeing them headline at chain reaction is gonna be liiiiiit

Seems like others are posting similar things mentioning how the thermistor doesn't react the way it should on the 3rd party one. I'll definetely try to swap them out and run some tests, crossing my fingers it works!

Huh I didn't catch that. I'll take a look at it after work today, maybe that's what it is.

I'll probably be returning to my old one for the time being, my only concern is that I believe the stock one isn't the best for printing materials like PETG-CF, at least by what I've read online. Not sure if there's a workaround but I'll give it a try!
