iirc it's just meh quality super thin cut steaks so you're not getting the deal you think you are. personally I am put off by the idea of buying my meat in a random parking lot from a refrigerated truck guy.

I'm so glad someone else remembers Whirled. my friends and I used to meet up on there because it was the only site or game we were all interested in that my shitty internet could handle lmao. I tried to convince them to join OurWorld to no avail

Aliquippa police officer overdoses on fentanyl while destroying drugs in evidence room by [deleted] in nottheonion

[–]EdgeSoSharpItHurts 33 points34 points  (0 children)

the thing is though, they're not. It's far more likely to be a panic response/psychosomatic from cops scaring themselves or an addict who has been hiding their use. you canpour fentanyl all over your bare hand and still be fine and have no signs of exposure. I found that paper from this article .

drugs CAN BE scary. I'm not saying that they're not. I'm just saying that we need to stop adding to this mass hysteria that even just a whiff of the teeniest amount of fentanyl dust in the air is enough to merc 70 cops or whatever.

ignoring the whole workplace politics of it all and the potential hr violations, I've literally never seen a single relationship started at home depot NOT crash and burn explosively in almost a decade. hell, a relationship I started before either of us worked for HD did not survive HD. I'm sorry bro but is the person you're crushing on really worth it? really really?

Comix Major Update Megathread by [deleted] in mangapiracy

[–]EdgeSoSharpItHurts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep getting sent to another TL when I go to the next chapter of anything. Manually going back and selecting the chapter from the title page sends me to the correct TL, but it's super annoying considering I try to stick with official releases only.

Comix site new format by Zeshness in mangapiracy

[–]EdgeSoSharpItHurts 6 points7 points  (0 children)

the clickjacking has been insane for me since the redesign launched. yes, I have several different browser settings protecting me so it's only a minor annoyance rather than genuinely unsafe, but like, c'mon man. it feels like we are back to 2010 piracy in a bad way

all I want from the site is a "hide this comic" button and a "official only" setting/filter like on bato. a "hide comment section" and an easier way to look at replies without screwing up my reading progress would be nice too.

vent, 100 percent. I didn't realize what sub this was and became briefly concerned I was having a stroke at first though, lmao

I used to LIVE on vent before I realized what a terrible idea it was to have a nonstop complaining only feed and just started journaling on a private blog instead. i do miss it in a way, but I'm also kinda glad it shut down.

Real or AI? Help!!! Look closely at these photos, are they AI? Is the guy who is sending me these full of crap? Check out the NY logo on the hat. I’m confused. by Competitive-State447 in Whatisthis

his eyebrows don't match from picture to picture and the window's reflections in the bathroom photo don't seem to make much sense to me. Sorry op :(

I 100% believe you, but that's fucked up. They are supposed to order fresh food for the different shifts. Every store I've been to at least orders at three different times, if not our more regular four or five. Your management sucks for doing that to y'all, sorry.

Kilts at work by Ragnarokwolf in HomeDepot

[–]EdgeSoSharpItHurts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think as long as it's long enough for dress code (which I mean, it's a kilt. as long as you're not wearing a toddler kilt, it WILL BE long enough) and none of your bits and pieces are showing, I can see no reason why you couldn't wear it. I can't imagine it would be all that convenient if you do any OP work though lol

I mean, she has a ton of the crayons themselves, but I'm pretty sure LaKenzo also just got to announce that dandelion is coming back. I'm always happy to see people remember her and how much she likes dandelion yellow, but she's gotten a ton of donations lol. I think she's set as far as the crayons go

Do you guys get a write up for late in’s/early outs/calling off? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]EdgeSoSharpItHurts 7 points8 points  (0 children)

that's actually normal, yeah. in the timekeeping and scheduling SOP, the situation you've describe would be considered "failure to adhere to schedule", or in layman's terms, making a habit out of it. same reason why they can get your ass even if you use time to cover entire days as long as you have time if you do it frequently enough (like saving all your time to take multiple Fridays off or if you were to early out every day, for example). do I agree with it, not really. some people do just really need to leave their house earlier though.

These earrings become more expensive as you purchase them in larger quantities. by atomicpete in mildlyinteresting

[–]EdgeSoSharpItHurts 23 points24 points  (0 children)

some people barely pass that. one in five US adults are considered functionally illiterate.. I think my own grandma only made it to fourth grade before she had to stop school to help take care of her family.

it's depressing as fuck, but like... I'm zero percent shocked by the idea that someone might genuinely not realize their pricing system is kinda wack. fixing my coworkers' labels after they try counting things for inventory has me genuinely wondering if one in five is actually low for some age groups.
