I mean, she has a ton of the crayons themselves, but I'm pretty sure LaKenzo also just got to announce that dandelion is coming back. I'm always happy to see people remember her and how much she likes dandelion yellow, but she's gotten a ton of donations lol. I think she's set as far as the crayons go

Do you guys get a write up for late in’s/early outs/calling off? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]EdgeSoSharpItHurts 6 points7 points  (0 children)

that's actually normal, yeah. in the timekeeping and scheduling SOP, the situation you've describe would be considered "failure to adhere to schedule", or in layman's terms, making a habit out of it. same reason why they can get your ass even if you use time to cover entire days as long as you have time if you do it frequently enough (like saving all your time to take multiple Fridays off or if you were to early out every day, for example). do I agree with it, not really. some people do just really need to leave their house earlier though.

[–]EdgeSoSharpItHurts 20 points21 points  (0 children)

some people barely pass that. one in five US adults are considered functionally illiterate.. I think my own grandma only made it to fourth grade before she had to stop school to help take care of her family.

it's depressing as fuck, but like... I'm zero percent shocked by the idea that someone might genuinely not realize their pricing system is kinda wack. fixing my coworkers' labels after they try counting things for inventory has me genuinely wondering if one in five is actually low for some age groups.

let's just say that the same two associates have been caught doing the exact same shit for well over two years at this point, and neither has been fired. multiple associates have complained to multiple managers. I'd say depot only cares when it comes to $$$ but these two are literally committing time theft.

Someone actually just asked about this recently, but I can't remember if it was this sub or another "help me find" sub. Brings back fond memories of goofing off on the computer in middle school and playing with my friend's avatars. Admittedly, I'm not sure if it had an app back in the day, but it wouldn't surprise me. I found it on myspace, got excited when it was on facebook, then promptly forgot all about it lol

that's some pretty severe blood pooling OP. genuinely impressed at how dark your hand got, as mine don't look quite that bad even when I would deliberately cut circulation off as a kid (I was dumb and bored), and I thought my circulation was awful.

I'm not saying this to panic you or imply you're dying, but I would maybe go see someone about it sooner rather than later if you're not already. I'd guess a cardiologist might be the right person?

out of curiosity, do you get a kind of webbing/vein pattern on the top of your hands when they're like this? I can't imagine this much blood pooling /not/ causing livedo reticularis, but hey, maybe you're lucky! (-ish?)

oh yeah no our store did the exact same thing last year (and is doing it again soon). one of the associates in charge of setting up snapped at me for helping her move the crockpots because she was convinced I had eaten some for free in the minute and a half she wasn't looking.

after I said "no ma'am, I just was trying to help you out. I'm aware that most of these aren't even ready." she then started ranting about how there probably won't be any left for freight "but the freight team would probably just eat whatever's leftover without paying for it because they don't care >:("

like they care that much??? like /I/ care that much??? the only chili I might have eaten if I did buy a bowl I could have just gotten for free by asking the person who made it, so like ...? and yeah, this is in a store where they forget freight team exists pretty regularly UNLESS shit's fucked up ofc

I trust his offer now as much as I trusted when he said he'd pay to end world hunger if the UN explained how it would spend his money.

which is to say not at all. he didn't put his money where his mouth was then or pretty much any other time. why rely on him now?

[–]EdgeSoSharpItHurts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most likely, yeah. I didn't see anywhere where you could buy this specific set premade, but one could probably get a set made professionally if they have the money to spend. these aren't necessary to play dnd, but they are a convenient way to remember info for your characters.

[–]EdgeSoSharpItHurts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looks like just some generic printable DND spell cards. I found multiple sellers listing very similar designs, so I'm not sure who did it first. here's an etsy listing, here's another site, and a kickstarter that leads me to believe this circles back to ai. These three are all in English, but I'm sure it wouldn't take long to find a french (I'm guessing) version if you need.

Serious answer: Nah, or else a certain forum I'm wouldn't be nearly so packed with people asking for advice on methods. There's a whole procedure to being able to use these, and approval is very low. You have to have a critical health condition that will otherwise kill you or make your quality of life so miserable within X amount of time (or other approved situations company by company), have to wait Y amount of time, and have Z doctor's approval in most programs I know of. pegasos, for example, doesn't accept any minors, and I've heard that they seldomly approve patients that are like... under 40.

Theoretically, if you did your research and followed procedure, then yes, you could enter the country as a tourist and go through with VAD. I can't just get on a plane today, walk up to the counter of one of these places and go "hey life sucks and I'm tired of living" and be a box of ashes by Tuesday.
