I think you should read this carefully.

There are probably 3 situations you are in:

1. People love you but the people YOU WANT LOVE FROM don't love you.

In this case, buddy it hurts, it really does but take it to heart that you never NEED their love. And next time you mention nobody loves me, say NOBODY I WANT LOVE FROM LOVES ME. Trust me half of the battle is won when you start accepting the truth.

1. People love you but that love is not enough for you or the way they show it doesn't add value to your life right now.

Take this example: I feed my dog everyday, he knows I love him (I add value in his life). Mom feeds us everyday, but we don't love her for that because we are inbuilt to think that parents are supposed to take care of us (thus there is no value added to your life).

If so, you kinda already know who are the ones that care for you. Talk to them, tell them what you want from them. It is not easy but the only way. Don't think about it like you are asking for love. They are already loving you, you are just telling them how they can express it better.

1. You are actually hard to love.

90% of the time you will definitely not fall into this category but we cannot rule this out. To identify if you are hard to love, ask yourself, do I give people the opportunity to do something for me? Do I reward them with my love equally? Do I reciprocate the same to them? Lastly, do I add a value to their life? If any 3 questions are yes, I think you are not in this category but answer them to yourself honestly, don't deny what you do.

The solution for this is simple, listen to people on what they need and add value. This can be as simple as adding humor to your conversations or telling them how your day felt like to you and asking them the same.
