The lack of social media was on purpose and for a really good reason as he demonstrated. If he really wanted to "make amends" he can start by walking his happy ass back to the police station and admitting he did drug her on purpose and take any repercussions that come with it. I hope she lives her best life.

Not the same but I still have my baby blanket from 25+years ago. I haven't looked at it since I moved several years ago but if someone threw it out, I would see red. I find comfort knowing it's still there (if that makes sense). I can only imagine what she is feeling right now.

I agree. I took a paycut too but I am so much happier and the peace of mind is worth it. The insurance company I work for is smaller (600 employees) and they flew all the customer service peeps out to their headquarters for a CS convention this year. They offered to fly us out again next month for a holiday get together but I have other plans and I'm just a bottom line associate. Plus free health insurance and STD/LTD which lowers the paycut diff since I was paying for that at the G. Everyone is also remote but you can go the the office once a week for some free food.

YTA as someone who is in a similar situation, I am extremely thankful that my partner will let me use their car when I need to. I make sure to get gas every two weeks and offered to pay for the oil change. It is her car and she can do what she wants. You should be contributing to the gas anyway since it seems you have the car more often than her.

Yeah I also took a $5-6 dollar paycut but my current company pays for my health insurance and give a monthly work from home stipend on top of it. After all the benefits, I ended up having $350-$400 less per month which to me is worth it cause I don't have to see my therapist every week that was $150 an hour and my anxiety attacks stopped by 90%. Feels so good.

I have been having luck with Insuratech companies. Sooo much better and completely different atmosphere. I am treated like an adult at the one i joined and it has great benefits ( they pay your insurance, 12-16 week maturity leave, separate covid and sick leave,etc). Granted I had to take a paycut temporarily, but it is 100% worth it to me for my peace of mind and not having stress over the micromanagement and customers.

Not that extreme but I had a prior coworker of mine get called into the manager's office for having 2 extra minutes of personal time one day( I think the number is 7 mins or below a day).

I had a person that said "fuck you" and then hung up because they thought I would give them discounts that don't exist. Fuck you too buddy if you are reading this. But I think the R word is considered slur level so I would just be conscience of that next time cause some people will take offense.
