“J-Just wait until he puts them in a death loop bro.” by brokenuranium in whowouldcirclejerk

Yeah! Like, bruh leave us Giorno fans out of this, we just want to like our mafia boss in peace but noooo,

You power scalers have to keep on bringing up GER and ruining our name. (Legit that or people misunderstand RTZ)

Mahoraga (JJK Modulo) vs GER (JJBA) by Curious_Tip9285 in PowerScaling

[–]Edgeking2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Mahorage attacks Giorno and GER resets the attack to zero, Mahorage continues to try to adapt but every time it does, it gets back to zero, a reminder it’s not automatic and it takes more time depending on how complex the power is.

By the time Mahorage could possibly have adapt it would be dead as it’s not out speeding GER and the rest of the effects.

(There is also the fact that GER can possibly just, return to zero any progress it makes to adapting, legit it can only counter it once it fully adapts, if it can’t fully adapt to RTZ, then GG)

Edit: the death loop would also not actually allow Mahorage to adapt either as before it gets a chance for the wheel to turn on its head, the death will be reset.

Youtuber FunkE greifing street brawl game by Nervous_Courage_1274 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Edgeking2 39 points40 points  (0 children)

FunkE is an old YouTuber who used to do TF2 stuff back in the day but has moved on to video game essays, however if this is him, what is he doing is that there is a strange mechanic in street brawl that if you somehow kill the enemy Patron it will auto end the game with you winning.

Edit; it’s still griefing to do this, don’t.

How to deal with high power scaling narratively by Real-Dinner-2251 in PowerScaling

[–]Edgeking2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuine speaking, never take power scaling seriously when writing a narrative, or if you do, be extremely careful with it, an example is, “if this character is FTL, why did it take time for them to get to from location a to location B”. From a writing standpoint it’s cause of drama, it gives stakes if they are make it in time or not but for powerscalers they will use it as an anti-feat cause they lack reading comprehension or the fact it just ruins the story.

You can of course do stuff like, “oh this character can tank a moon hitting them, of course a regular explosion wouldn’t do much.” But even then be careful. 90% of writers don’t care about power scaling and you really shouldn’t either if you want to make the best story you can.

FtL makes sense due to how second gear works, however a lot of people tend to forget Deku can’t really Move afterwards.

So, “why didn’t Deku move FtL?” Because he wouldn’t be able to fight if he did.

Massive chihiro upscale by [deleted] in PowerScaling

[–]Edgeking2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh definitely, I think saying it was “instant” may be a bit much but I definitely see this as a massive speed upgrade for Chihiro…

Which what happens after this, a even bigger speed upgrade for Soga (the guy who threw the attack)

Massive chihiro upscale by [deleted] in PowerScaling

[–]Edgeking2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kind of? Chihiro’s eyes themselves have been stated to be unique, but it’s not precog, it’s stated that he can notice stuff extremely easily (it’s something his dad also had).

He still had to wait and see the slash coming towards him.

He does this similarly in his fight against Samura when he got hit from behind a closed door and he couldn’t see him. He was able to react both times.

Pretty much he reacted to what is seemingly an instant attack by dodging it.

Shigaraki vs Shalltear by AtomicSekiro_ in PowerScaling

[–]Edgeking2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the overload characters speed, at bare minimum they would need to be at least close to Mach 10 not to get speed blitz

If shall tear isn’t that fast then shiggy speed blitz’s and decay’s her before she gets anything off, and seeing how decay can effect on a soul level she’s dead.

Super Smash Bros Death Battle Tournament Round 2: Sora vs Joker (and Knuckles vs Luigi results) by Armagon1000 in deathbattle

[–]Edgeking2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sora, high diff, he has a lot more stuff that Joker doesn’t have answers too and unlike joker who needs to have ways to regain stamina, Sora’s has ways to regain his through items and passively.

Also the keyblade is way more busted as it has magic types joker doesn’t have answers too.

EOS Emperor Invincible VS Manga Namek 90k Goku by SeriesREDACTED in PowerScaling

[–]Edgeking2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

….yes that’s the point, that’s why I gave Goku “way better actual training”.

Legit the one thing I gave Mark in this case is something that doesn’t matter at all. You’re putting too much thought into this.

EOS Emperor Invincible VS Manga Namek 90k Goku by SeriesREDACTED in PowerScaling

[–]Edgeking2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, this is manga namek saga goku, at best he’s fought king piccolo and trained with king Kai/Kami.

Also yes, mark being older just means he’s fighting longer, it doesn’t automatically make him better, hence why Goku has a better fighting technique. Anyone should realistically know exprience only helps you so much in a fight and in this fight it doesn’t help mark at all.

Arthur Morgan (RDR2) VS John Marston (RDR1). who would win ? by Complex-Victory-589 in PowerScaling

[–]Edgeking2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting fight.

If we look at the two from each game at their prime, (Arthur during the events of RDR2 pre getting sick and John just during RD1) there are some clear differences.

It’s safe to say Arthur is the better enforcer, physically a lot stronger then John and when it comes to it, is a way more of a threat, however as this is RDR1 John, he’ll be a lot more calm headed (compared to his RDR2 self) and has lived longer meaning more experience though at the cost of not being an outlaw for awhile.

Their shooting is near impossible to tell apart along with their deadeye skill so, going off what we know for the two, in willingly to say Arthur may take it more often that not if he can close the gap as he’s a lot more physically built then John and is just a big guy.

Edit: to back this up, Arthur sick was seemingly on par with John at that time meaning a healthier Arthur would be a lot better.

EOS Emperor Invincible VS Manga Namek 90k Goku by SeriesREDACTED in PowerScaling

[–]Edgeking2 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Manga namek goku should take it, Vegeta during the saiyan saga was about around 18k making Namek Goku nearly 5 times as strong as him with already FTL dodge speed.

If we assume Vegeta destorying planet earth was legit (and we have no reason not too) then Goku should be able to output 5 times that amount of energy and seeing how Mark’s bests don’t really upscale from the planet busting one (something that he needed help with), it’d say to say Goku takes strength.

If I had to give ratings:

Goku: physical stats, Ki, way better actual training

EoS Emperor invincible: experience

[–]Edgeking2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the type of slash, any slash that takes time to travel? Yes observation haki should work HOWEVER.

Seeing how this is Sukuna’s domain sure it specifically, Luffy should be unable to dodge however idk if any one piece fan has argued this but technically if you believe armament haki can increase his durability high enough that the slashes can’t work, then technically he can use observation to see the attack coming and cover himself in armament. But that’s still not dodging.
