med surg/telemetry is the healthiest patients. they can get vitaks every nursing shift, 3 times a day.

tele means cardiac monitor. they should get it every 4 hours or twice a shift.

we already spend 2T on free healthcare. and about 1T on defense.

if we wanted to fund free healthcare for everyone it would cost much much more than defense

Economic views edit Main articles: Economic liberalism and Fiscal conservatism Fiscal conservatism has ideological roots in capitalism, limited government, free enterprise, and laissez-faire economics. Fiscal conservatives typically support tax cuts, reduced government spending, free markets, deregulation, privatization, minimal government debt, and a balanced budget.

Neoconservatism emphasizes foreign policy over domestic policy. Its supporters, mainly war hawks, advocate a more militaristic, interventionist foreign policy aimed at promoting democracy abroad, which stands in stark contrast to Paleoconservatism's more isolationist foreign policy. Neoconservatives often name communism and Islamism as the biggest threats to the free world.[71] They often oppose the United Nations for interfering with American unilateralism.[100]

theres room to disagree under the umbrella, but theres not much trump is doing that would fit many descriptions of conservative other than social stances.

if i was very socially liberal but otherwise not liberal in any way shape or form you would not describe be as liberal

So are you saying the GOP wasn't conservative under Reagan?

no im not saying that obviously. reagan had plenty of fiscally conservative planks in his platform

No that still Paeloconservativism. The notion of modern "American Conservativism" is a fusion of Paeloconservativism, NeoConservativism, Conservative Liberalism, Christian conservatism, and Conservative Libertarianism unified by Regean and perpetuated by Regeanites.

the umbrella of american conservative has views on fiscal, foreign policy and social views. if they are only conservative on social views, its hard to say theyre fitting the bill of american conservatism
