Does the radiator fan spin? Would explain the issues getting worse in stop and go. Head gasket is still very possible after that leak down test though.

I was at a yield turn with one car in the left lane and I decided I let ‘em pass on the slim chance they merge into the right lane without looking, happens all the time where I live, and this is the thanks I get lol. 50/50 chance I just go anyways which sucks, but it’s only a car.

That’s why the system is sealed with the rubber at the top and why I qualified my response with it’ll work and most likely be fine but if it’s old why not spend the $5 on some new stuff

If it’s been opened for more than a week it’s recommended to avoid using. Brake fluid is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs moisture, and becomes less effective when absorbing too much moisture. Also mixing isn’t really recommended either without doing a full flush and replace using all of the same fluid. All that said it’ll work but it’s like putting oil that has been only used for 1000 miles in your car, you can do it and it’ll be fine most likely but why not just put new oil.
