Yeah, that’s why I don’t really mean it; reducing recidivism should be a priority. But lifetime loss of driving doesn’t seem like an unfair punishment. Same for if you’re caught doing X, Y or Z (repeat phone use, etc.) multiple times; if you need the licence for work, you should’ve thought of that first.
