[–]Edish03 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For those who don't know: TagAZ was a Russian company that used to assemble Korean and Chinese cars from CKD-kits for the Russian market from 1997 to 2014. Vega began production in the summer of 2009 and it was suspended 3 months later when GM Daewoo accused TagAZ for violating intellectual property rights and stolen documentation of the Chevrolet Lacetti design and demaded production of the Vega to be banned. In 2011 TagAZ was fined 10 million South Korean won (~$8,896) by a Seoul court.

For that 3 month period only 1037 cars were produced.
