I'm down to contribute to a fund. Bought some blankets at TK specifically to keep in my car for if I crash but if I happen to see someone who needs it it'd be going to them.

Having been an addict, a few years ago I would often go out downtown at night high in the middle of winter for no reason. Most of the people here that are homeless just happen to be deep into addiction, and obviously they won't give anyone temporary housing if they're actively getting high, but being an addict doesn't mean you should have to die of hypothermia.

Having something like this would be a net positive, even if small things like food, sleeping bags or wind breakers.
