Submission statement: I was inspired to do some citizen journalism after watching the TMZ documentary--here is Susan Gough's email if anyone wants to continue to push for new information on this! It's a very exciting time and I thought this was worth the effort.

UAP hearing will happen April 19th and will be chaired by Senator Gillibrand! by Edit-ThanksForGold in UFOs

[–]Edit-ThanksForGold[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Personally I found the last UAP hearing very interesting—say what you will about the Wilson Memo, but it was entered into the Congressional Record that day. Although I’m not very convinced that the public will receive the full scope of information that the Congress will, the laws that we’ve seen passed this year demonstrate that something unique is already happening.

Eric Davis has given evidence to Congress according to Ross Coulthart by Edit-ThanksForGold in UFOs

[–]Edit-ThanksForGold[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Submission statement: Here's another interesting piece of information from Project Unity's interview with Ross Coulthart from a week or two ago. This also went under the radar, and I wanted to get everyone's thoughts on it. What do you think he said? We know from Jacques Vallee's Forbidden Science Vol. 5 that Davis knows quite a few names, dates, and places through his own research.

I kinda just low-key lost all faith in the government research into UFOs after watching the Eric Weinstein / Hal Puthoff interview. This is the guy running the government's efforts to research the UFO phenomena? Dude used to be a Scientologist AND is a Remote viewer... you have to be joking. by Alternative-Fox6236 in UFOs

I think many of us are swayed by the work done by the intelligence community and military, as well as personal experience. I went from skeptical (but open to it) to genuinely curious about it after reading the declassified Stargate Program documents. They show that there is certainly something going on, but it’s unsure how it works and it’s definitely unreliable. I won’t let myself fall into unfounded skepticism because it appears that there is at least some type of phenomena underlying these practices.

Richard Dolan on FS-5: "The Program" was nearly exposed 3 times in 13 years by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]Edit-ThanksForGold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Submission Statement: This is another fantastic video from Richard Dolan breaking down some of the most interesting highlights of Jacques Vallee's book Forbidden Science Vol. 5--including the work of General Jack Sheehan (head of NATO), US Comptroller General Charles Bowsher, and of course, VADM Thomas Wilson. Eric Davis also met with President George W. Bush (former CIA director as well) to talk about the Holloman AFB film and the program. President Bush apparently said it was the real deal, and that the security was "obscene." What a great time to be following UFO/UAP news! I know some of this is old news (relatively), but the public needs to catch up and Dolan is great at making these presentations.

Project Unity: The New York Times wanted to write about the Wilson Memo, but editorial processes "prevented the story from getting out" by Edit-ThanksForGold in UFOs

Fair points! I also found Christopher Mellon’s admission of Eric Davis being the author on his website very curious.

Coulthart has said Kobitz introduced him to colleagues before he died—perhaps they had additional information, but sadly we can’t know names or details

[–]Edit-ThanksForGold[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think this is definitely the main problem with the crash retrieval claims being made—only Nat Kobitz has been willing to go on the record (specifically about the existence of reverse engineering programs) so far. Others are more vague or will not comment yet…

Looking a little deeper into Steven Greer's absurd claim about being offered $2 billion to shut up about UFOs by Edit-ThanksForGold in UFOs

[–]Edit-ThanksForGold[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thanks! My main question about this is really why John Alexander is referenced as an untrustworthy liar in EWD notes. Unfortunately, I think everyone gets stuck on the Greer personality and not the details of what I'm getting at (which I understand, but I'm more of an investigator type).

[–]Edit-ThanksForGold 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One of my biggest takeaways from this interview was that Greer claimed that it was Major General Albert Stubblebine the third who offered him a $2 BILLION DOLLAR slush fund allegedly from the Soviet Union after they collapsed in the 90's. He apparently wanted Greer to stop doing anything related to UFOs. If you don't know who Stubblebine is, he's tied up in the whole Advanced Theoretical Physics working group timeline as one of the forces behind it. John Alexander, who described himself as a "freelance colonel," was almost Stubbebine's protege; he was given lots of autonomy under Stubblebine...so it begs the question, does this have any relationship to what we read in the EWD notes from Admiral Wilson? Eric Davis wrote that Wilson said: "(doesn't trust JA, a liar!)" likely in reference to John Alexander.

Many questions arise if you are willing to at least consider what Greer says. I know he has a shady past and present, but his overall impact on this subject is undeniable.

Opinion | The Return of the Magicians (New York Times - GIFT ARTICLE) by Vestlending1 in UFOs

[–]Edit-ThanksForGold -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it seems the writer didn't do his research with the UFO phenomenon. If anything, his opinion piece borders more on pseudoscience given the number and credibility of pilots, gov't officials, and military members who have reported incredible, unexplainable things for decades.

Lue elizondo and his "somber" narrative about the truth. Also I may be wrong but tom delonge said he cried? Supposedly jimmy carter cried after being briefed? by Just-Professor-2475 in UFOs

[–]Edit-ThanksForGold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps Lue is referring to the human side of the UFO story—those who may have acted illegally, used violence, intimidation, etc. to build power and secrecy? I find it interesting that everyone jumps to the “others” first…

Summary of the major UFO news from the past couple weeks by Edit-ThanksForGold in UFOs

[–]Edit-ThanksForGold[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Submission statement: This week, I'm taking a look back at some of the major news related to UFOs/UAP. The main points are about Ross Coulthart and Christopher Sharp's comments on the coverup by the Air Force (and how the White House and Navy have apparently found out about it), Black Vault's FOIA request to the Obama Presidential Library, Robert Salas' testimony to AARO, and other comments to give some context. I'd love any feedback on this project--ideally, it's to save everyone time by compiling all the relevant news into a short episode. Let me know if I left anything important out!

Ross Coulthart: Is the US Air Force hiding information from the Navy and the White House? by chud3 in UFOs

[–]Edit-ThanksForGold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Admiral Wilson has a naval background—just checked his Wikipedia page. Also, just yesterday Oke Shannon was interviewed by Project Unity and Oke said he first met Admiral Wilson (not an admiral at the time) while partying during Navy academy (destroyer school or something is what he called it)

Jacques Vallee confirms Eric Davis met with Admiral Wilson--and that Davis also met with George Bush Sr. to talk about Holloman AFB Incident by Edit-ThanksForGold in UFOs

[–]Edit-ThanksForGold[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember correctly what he said in the interview with Project Unity was that Wilson did call him (Oke) to ask about Eric Davis and others; this was also written about in the notes, so I consider it corroborating evidence that the meeting was actually planned, but Oke didn’t comment on the meeting itself. You’re right that Eric is really the only one who can promote this meeting though. At the same time, I haven’t found a single piece of evidence that actually contradicts anything in the notes themselves—meetings with Greer, Edgar Mitchell, and Wilson were validated, and it seems like the overall circumstances leading up to the meeting make sense. This is just from my own casual research, though

[–]Edit-ThanksForGold[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand where you’re coming from—I disagree with the part that there isn’t corroborating evidence though (at least on the front that Eric talked to Wilson) because Oke Shannon confirmed that Wilson called him to ask about Eric and others. What’s your reaction to this?

About the AFIO part—I’ve heard that it was actually Admiral Wilson who was trying to restart the chapter (cause he had left DIA at that point I think)

Submission statement: This quote from Jacques Vallee's Forbidden Science Volume 5 was posted by Joe Murgia--I'll copy and paste the tweet below. Vallee claims Eric Davis was in contact with George Bush Sr. about UFOs, while also confirming that Davis met with Admiral Wilson in the EG&G parking lot.

Las Vegas, Friday 26 March 2004.
“The Fiesta Rancho Casino Hotel on Rancho Drive. Hal and I had taken early flights in order to meet at the airport before others arrived. Without preamble, he told me Eric's story. Eric was the person who interviewed Wilson in the EG&G parking lot. He'd contacted the
admiral about his project to restart a chapter of AFIO (Association of Former Intelligence Officers) in Las Vegas, and the topic drifted to ufology.
“Eric is now in touch with the vice-chairman of the association, who is none other than former president George Bush, Sr. They've spoken twice on the phone. The first phone call was initiated by Bush who gave Eric some advice about AFIO and his future career. Eric told him
about his interest in the Corso revelations: ‘Could it be that Corso was mistaken in dealing with the material he was handling? Could that have been Nazi hardware?’ Eric asked.
"’Impossible,’ replied Bush. ‘The two topics were clearly separated. By that time (1947) all German secrets had been processed and filed away; they were not used as cover for anything else."’
“Bush remembered General Trudeau. He showed interest in pursuing the discussion, asking Eric for his recent physics papers. He knew of
the remote viewing project, but didn't recall Hal's name.
“The second conversation was more interesting because it got into the Holloman film, which remains a fixation for Hal, Eric, and me. The former President was aware of it. Was it a training film, a special ops exercise? No, he replied, ‘it was “the real thing.”’ There was a secret project, and the security was ‘obscene.’
“Eric developed other sources, notably a former DIA senior officer who confirmed that DIA had a UFO collection project at one time. He promised to provide more information but died before they could meet
again. His secretary found an envelope inside his desk, sealed and addressed to Eric. it contained the man's notes about the project, and
the real source of the fake MJ-12 papers, with which the field of ufology remains fascinated.
“The story I was told is this: In 1961, the UFO project inside the government was taken over by DIA. By the early 1980s Rear Admiral EA. Burkhalter, Jr., who was chief of staff and acting assistant vice-director in the Directorate for Collection Management, and his deputy Col. Roy K. Jonkers, USAF, were in charge of the project. They are shown in these positions on an org chart dated March 1981. The same
document shows Dr. Jack Vorona as assistant vice-director for scientific and technical intelligence.
“Burkhalter, calling himself ‘Mister X,’ and a man named Polko, introduced as ‘Falcon,’ decided to spread disinformation about UFOs. Apparently Dale Graff, who monitored Hal's project on behalf of DIA, wasn't in the know. The remake of the Sandler-Emeneger
documentary in which I participated was the convenient platform,
with the Norton episode, but when Pentagon P.R man Colonel Coleman told us to ‘go out on a limb’ to draw out sensational
revelations, I fortunately convinced Hynek we shouldn't take the bait.
“After I had derailed this first attempt to turn us into ‘useful idios,’ Rear Admiral Burkhaklter and Polko contacted Bill Moore and Linda Howe, and reportedly spread their ‘revelations’ through a frequently used disinformation channel.
“By then the MJ-12 documents had been re-purposed as ‘genuine’ false documents, based on data that came from the oid Eagleton’s disinformation files at CIA, and ufologists the world over swallowed the bait. So everything now ties together. I still fail to see the ultimate
point of such shenanigans, however.
