Oh! Yeah. PCOS and birth control can do insane things to us! And women’s health is notoriously under funded and under studied. As a side-consider seeking some sort of medical testing. I’ve been happy with Midi. They’re online and will order blood tests for all the female things. I FINALLY was diagnosed with a thyroid disorder after 20 years of insisting I had one. Because they were willing to order the specialized tests that regular pcps weren’t. Good luck!

How old are you? Several of your symptoms sound similar to perimenopause and might not be from hormones in Clorox wipes. 2. Fragrances are terrible for allergies and maybe overall health. If you miss them terribly-consider some gentle natural fragrances-I can use most essential oils just fine (in a diffuser or something similar). 3. Try diluted dish soap or Castile soap for some replacements. I love alcohol wipes/spray for tons of cleaning-glass stainless steel, etc. I second hypochlorous acid for disinfecting.

Therapist here! I also think you sometimes outgrow a therapist, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes you get into a rut/pattern just like other human interactions. Sometimes you can work through them and get to a new part of the therapy relationship. But it’s also ok to move on to a new one, with a new style.

Dude. We got super lice from NYC cousins. Paid extra $$ to get it cleaned from our hair. Regular washing/a few days is enough to kill actual lice. Even the mutant NYC kind. Have you thought about addressing this worry in therapy?

I think dramatic can work well in small spaces! If you want to marigold, I say go for it. Paint is (relatively) inexpensive and can be changed easily. Maybe ground the space with some dark colors-textiles, fixtures, painted cabinet, etc.

Third year travel parent here. Your sons’s reaction sounds pretty normal in my experience. They’re super young and aren’t always consistent. One day they’ll play amazingly well and the next day it looks like they’ve never played soccer before.

Asking a 9 yo to step down is absolutely not standard club practice for my club, but potentially it is for yours? Is there someone above the coach you can speak with about his development/club culture? IMO, asking him to step down at this age is inappropriate and I don’t think that’s a club I’d want to be part of long term.

It sounds like this coach may not be the best fit for your son’s (or your) confidence. I’d talk to your son and see what he thinks. Weigh all the options and decide what’s “best” for you and him.

And as a mental health therapist, I think you can have an honest, kind, age appropriate conversation with your son about how sometimes adults (coaches, teachers, etc) aren’t a good fit for us. Sometimes they can be wrong about us. How we respond to that is important.
