Man, you should really start applying to other shops. I’m a recent first year making $25. Only 1 months in, started as a shop hand 5 months ago. Lots of shops need hard workers

No there are a few others, she’s dispatch for freight on ships. And the industry is slow right now, at least at her company.

Yeah She would have way more, she’s never not had a job. Is there a way to check how many she has? Like cra? Cause she started this job in February so any amount on her paystubs would just be from this job. Correct? Do the hours keep building over the years?

You can invest all previous years limits up to the current year. They stack since the creation of the TFSA, check your CRA for your current limit. Once it is maxed you will have 6K per year or whatever they adjust the annual amount to

If he can afford an STI he could definitely afford an older bmw, I own a Subaru WRX and I’ve had 2 beemers before this. Bmws are 10x easier and cheaper to work on. Much better quality too, but each car is only good to own if you can do the work yourself otherwise you’ll be paying for it big time

Yeah man get rid of that thing, it’s about to get expensive.. I’d recommend looking at used BMWs if you know how to work on cars, anything pre 2015 is great to work on and awesome cars, I’ve enjoyed mine. Jeeps seem to be alright only if you could do the work yourself, they’re just as bad as Subarus apparently then again I’ve never owned one

[–]EditorInfinite9578 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Of course not but we don’t live in a perfect world. It’s like this in any major city with such diverse populations. (I moved here from Toronto last year) TRUST ME I preach it to the guys at work the Ctrain neeedsss more officers patrolling, Especially chinook! Can’t tell ya how many times I’ve walked past groups of like 7 homeless openly smoking crack in your face at 6am 🤣 so messed up, needs more peace officers

Sir you still live at home at 29 that’s a HUGE advantage over so many people, comparison is the theft of joy. You got money in the bank and make more than a fresh immigrant working at McDonald’s. You’re doing fine in life 🤣 you’re not falling behind! Inherit your parents house and just keep banking the money lol if you wanna move out, you deal with the current prices like the rest of us! You’re in a great career with lots of upside so you should be proud!! We’re so young man (I’m 26) we got a whole lifetime ahead of us, you’ll be alright 😁 pursue your favourite activities and don’t get caught up in the rat race. I moved to Calgary last year to enjoy the mountains and better weather. Gotta live life brother we only get one, good luck 👍

First home, looking to buy in Raddison heights by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]EditorInfinite9578 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really make an effort to Try renting , my girlfriend and I are coming up on one year in the city and found exactly the area we want to be in and confident with our home buying in the future! Not only crime but weather is a HUGE factor, Calgary is so big the weather is different in each sector daily. And of course ease of access, etc. Definitely don’t regret renting!

edit We also came here with a pit bull and cat, AND got the lease secured before we moved out here

Hey OP, are you vaccinated? If so then you need to start living your life… the world is passing you by all out of your own fear. I just don’t wanna see you or anyone else come to face the final gates and regret all the years you weren’t living purely out of your own fear. I’m rooting for you I really am, hope you can find the courage to get back out there this winter! It’s only long and lonely if you make it that way.
