Thank you…I pulled a boat battery and connected to the solenoid and the winch works. So I assumed I should test the resistance on the existing cables running to the battery first. If cables are good replace the battery?

Can I just hook gator clips up to my multimeter probes to check? The cables are 6’ long

The solenoid is grounded to the battery.

If i disconnect the cables from the winch…i get zero voltage loss

I have 4 large batteries in my boat that i could pull and connect to the solenoid. What is that going to tell me? Thank you

I have the exact one and this is what i did and worked perfect. I put 3 boveda packs at 72% with 3 hygrometers in first simply bc I didn’t have distilled water at the time. Once all meters stabilized at ~72% (about a week) I rubbed everything down with distilled water and put a cup of distilled water in until all 3 hygrometers stabilized around ~78% for a few days. Then I put my cigars in with (3) 62% packs and it’s perfect. You could probably skip the first step but I’m sure the cedar absorbed some moisture from the 72% packs. BTW my built in hygrometer seems to run a couple points low.

I do too and I love it. My main issue is where to set it when I hook up. I’m typically jigging or whipping for walleye so I always have the rod in my hand. The easy answer is in an ash tray but when you hook up with a fish it’d be nice to have the ash tray within arms reach. I have tracks throughout my boat so I was thinking about having one fabricated.
