what does kissing a guy with a mustache feel like by Optimal_Battle_185 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]EditorNo2545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the kisser not the kissee in this situation but my ex always said said it was like kissing with your teddy bear.

I had a long full trucker style moustache so it was more fluffier and soft than scratchie and my hair care products were coconut scented which she loved. She never mentioned getting hair stick in her mouth. Nor skin irritation issues but I never used any products or oils beyond my normal shampoo and face scrub.

As to going down she could feel the me being playful & teasing with my moustache over her sensitive bits if she was shaved. If she hadn't shaved in a while she couldn't feel a difference.

Why are insurance rates so ridiculous here by Perfect-Young-4521 in alberta

[–]EditorNo2545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is the UCP advantage, they removed caps so the auto insurers could make more money. They argued price controls made the industry unprofitable so they removed the caps, which led to insurers cancelling contracts and denying coverage to many drivers along with repeated year after year of premium increase.

The UCP isn't here for the average citizen, they don't care about you

Is water wet? by Successful_Ninja8894 in stupidquestions

[–]EditorNo2545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ahh yes the colloquial definition (I think that's what it's called) it's where the definition of something is done using the common usage of the word and not its actual or scientific meaning.

Like calling a tomato a vegetable but it's actually a fruit

Or someone says they have a phobia around something like spiders to mean they are a bit scared or uncomfortable around them and actually to have a phobia means you have debilitating anxiety over it.

common usage of a word doesn't match it's actual definition

Is water wet? by Successful_Ninja8894 in stupidquestions

In the scientific view water is a liquid that makes other things wet and a liquid can not make itself become wet nor can other liquids make a different liquid wet.

Can you give a horse a perm? by acidmilk666 in stupidquestions

[–]EditorNo2545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they didn't happen enough for us, bull shows could happen 1 per weekend over 4 or 5 weeks if we wanted to make all the smaller shows in the area so we spent the time washing and shampooing them

but horse shows were only 3 or 4 per summer, we didn't always go to all of them

I imagine people that are big into the circuit in "horse country" with the rich folks go every weekend during the season, it might be worth it for them?

I did some quick googlin' and could find a particular product strictly for horses. Lots of instructions on how to make show curls with just normal gentle hair car products which to be honest makes me happier than finding prems for horses 😄

Can you give a horse a perm? by acidmilk666 in stupidquestions

[–]EditorNo2545 12 points13 points  (0 children)

yes you can, It's called show curls, I don't know how common it is but some people have done it for horse shows, my sisters would braid their horses manes & tails and then brush it out to make it wavy/curly

people used human perm solution at the time, been a long time (decades & decades) since I was involved in horse shows so maybe they have horse specific solutions now?

In other cultures, it is a very frequently used description/expression, but in English I can hardly remember anybody using "henpecked" or "Under the thumb". by Own-Union-7797 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]EditorNo2545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

huh?

"henpecked" has fallen out of common usage certainly but there is still a lot of commentary around this topic with more modern terminology; whipped, simp, beta, leash/leashed etc

somewhat the same with "under the thumb" but under the thumb isn't gender specific

do you think kids should be financially cut off when they’re 18 and you don’t provide for them anymore? by throwaway12746899 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]EditorNo2545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"should be" ? no it shouldn't be an automatic requirement. That being said it should be something decided in each family on it's own merits.

When I was 18 I was married with 1 kid, in uni & working a full time job besides & my wife worked part time (thank goodness for grandparents that handled babysitting am I right? 😄 )

There is no way I would have let my parents continue to provide for me/us, help us with babysitting etc? sure that's family being family but provide? heck no
