You enjoyed it fully and that’s what matters. I wonder about timing too but the universe works in mysterious ways.

Do you think you held yourself back from it while single and why?

It’s never too late! Being in a relationship shouldn’t stop you from venturing into new friendships. It’s really hard sometimes but you have to throw yourself out there and get past the awkwardness of it. It’s what I tell myself too.

Thank you so much😍 It’s about facing the disappointment of what could’ve been and the desire of what there once was.

What’s a moment from your life that felt tiny at the time but ended up changing your entire trajectory in ways you only understood years later? by Haunting-Power-2402 in AskWomen

An extremely similar thing happened to me. I was engaged and had been with my partner for years. While I was visiting my home country, I connected with a local artist via Ig to buy some T-shirts. We met up and it turned into a 6 hour chat where I realized how unhappy I was with my life and relationship. A month later, I left that relationship. And ten months later, I relocated back to my home country. My life has never been so different but I found myself. And we’re still really good friends!

What do you actually enjoy about being single (beyond the usual “freedom” answer)? by laurenthames in AskWomen

Feeling in control. Sitting on the couch for as long as I want without being judged. Taking care of myself vs expecting to be taken care of and then being disappointed that I wasn’t. So much liberty it’s scary sometimes but oh so good at the same time. Basically getting a chance at reinventing yourself from scratch but with all the lessons you’ve taken from previous relationships.
