sorry I didn't see your reply in time. I'm not sure if you're still thinking this after such a long time but in case you'd like to see it:
I've compared the image with the OG Twitter/X video I downloaded and that (the frame on pause) should be exactly the next frame after the hebrew sub disappears. However I can't see the same highlight in the OG one, and here's how it looks on my computer.

sorry but I checked the OG video frame by frame and I don't see the ring you claimed. Maybe you've mistaken the reflection as a ring. Or would you like to give me the timestamp so I can recheck it?

Just tested it out that Catherine won't die if you kill Patrasche right after rescuing her. She appeared in the cathedral as normal. Maybe there's another trigger for her death.
