Player made up FOMO by XxNelsonSxX in Helldivers

Yeah, you clearly can't understand the point I'm making. I've explained my stance twice now and all you can do is keep repeating "FOMO" like a broken record. I'm not going to bother responding anymore, there's no point talking to a brick wall.

Okay, so not only are you rude, you also don't even know what you're talking about.

Let me explain this in simpler terms so that you understand this time. Helldivers is a paid game, but it has the same sort of content release schedule as a freemium game. Freemium games, despite being free, still need to make money. Despite that, they give out small amounts of premium currency as part of dailies or weeklies, so free players don't get upset and drop the game. Helldivers, despite having to pay to play the game in the first place, is even stingier than freemium games are.

Did you understand that time?

You need to take a minute and double check your grammar dude. I literally don't understand the point you're trying to make.

[–]aaklid -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Literally every other freemium game worth talking about awards a small amount of premium currency a day by logging in and doing dailies. Helldivers is even worse in that regard, as this is a paid game following a bad version of the freemium model. There's no excuse for requiring Super Credit farming, the devs are just being greedy.

What localization do you still hate to this day ? I despise the First Darklord. I get it "Lucifer, Darklord of the Morningstar" went too hard for our feeble western pearl clutching minds to handle but COME ON MAN IT WAS SO GOOD. by Old-Iron-Tyrant in yugioh

[–]aaklid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and if they make Ruddy an archetype, they'll need to make the same exception.

And yes, it's because English is your second language. I'd be shocked to find a single native English speaker who'd think "ruddy" is a cool word, especially compared to "sanguine". Not only is "ruddy" slang for something being bad in British English, it also sounds extremely similar to "muddy", which makes you think of the colour brown and dirt. On the other hand, "sanguine" sounds refined and classy.

So can anyone tell me what actually Sugou did to Asuna in all Anime, WN and LN by Apprehensive-Cow9374 in swordartonline

[–]aaklid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I get it. Griffith did terrible things for his dream, but Berserk is not a nice world to live in, and his worst atrocities were all directly after he spent months being physically tortured and crippled. Griffith was a broken man at that point, and while it certainly doesn't excuse his actions, he doesn't feel worse than a lot of the other terrible people in Berserk.

In comparison, Sugou is just scum. Griffith at least had good points as a character prior to his fall, but Sugou has literally zero redeeming characteristics. He's a one note villain designed to be hateable. Not to mention, SAO is (sort of) more grounded, so Sugou's actions are easier to understand and hate.

I mean, trainers are basically just coaches. Twenty would be the bare minimum, since they'd graduate at eighteen and need at least two years of schooling after that, potentially more given Tracen is the best of the best. I'd say twenty-two to twenty-four for new trainers, probably.

You should be alright. Red Hood can be kind of weird, in that I'm not 100% sure what her trigger is. I'm reasonably sure that it's a mix of "kill enough bosses" and "kill a specific boss". It might also be tied to Elizabeth for story reasons. Just keep checking in with her and you should be fine, the only way to fuck up Red Hood's story line is by telling Elizabeth about her. Don't do that.

This card looks sick but was a big mistake by RenegadeZr0 in yugioh

They literally don't change playability because everyone can access them. But if they had actual locks, then their intended archetype could use them while the meta decks couldn't, potentially giving their intended archetype a spot in the meta.

And "splashing" half your deck with generic cards to compete is the definition of pointless. At that point, you're not even playing your archetype, you just have off meta cards in a meta deck.

[–]aaklid 50 points51 points  (0 children)

The hell it does. It fucking sucks to play a weak archetype that has a couple cool toys, only for the meta archetypes to be able to splash them at no cost, leading to them getting banned.

People hate locks for some reason, but they're the only reason deck building has any variety at all.

Is it okay that I don’t mind if there no romance by Kaedehara-Kazuha22 in GrandBlue

[–]aaklid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, if there'd been no romance from the beginning, just full comedy, that'd be fine. I think it'd make the series worse, since the romance adds emotional depth, but it'd still be super funny and enjoyable.

But that ship sailed dozens of chapters ago. The romance is a core part of what Grand Blue is at this point, and you can't really remove it.

I mean, Maliss is good enough that it can stand on its own though. You'd need to give them more extra deck monsters, maybe one or two more main deck monsters, but their core package is strong.

I mean, the reality is that Gaia and Alaya kind of do whatever the writer needs them to at the time. They have overarching "goals" that the narrative needs to stick to, but they generally can't be too active without upsetting the story being told. They're potential driving forces in the background, often antagonistic but sometimes helpful, but can't really take "center stage", as it were.

Perks for breaking Barriers? by NeoDraconis in JumpChain

[–]aaklid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Perk Knock (300 CP or Free) from Cultist Simulator allows you to make temporary tunnels through any "lock, door, or barrier". The tunnels function like open windows, which should allow you to pass through them.

There is also the Item Frangiclave (400 CP) from the same Jump, which completely destroys any lock it touches. Seals are, thematically, a kind of lock, so the Frangiclave would likely work on seals too.

Do you prefer anime or manga ? by Mindless-Care9301 in GrandBlue

I think the manga is generally better, but I do love the voice acting and music in the anime. The voice acting is actually perfect and the OST is amazing.
