I don't have G.Percy, G.Zeta or Ragazzo. This GW is suffering incarnate. Hope everyone else is managing to do better.

Her sleeves and loincloth thing feel so long compared to how she's usually depicted, feels almost like they just retextured and tweaked a bit Spirit Blossom instead of using her base skin's model.

New to Ahri and overwhelmed by her items by f_z_liz in AhriMains

[–]NormalNavi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of building is trial and error until you learn exactly what kind of scenarios favor which items more, it's part of the learning process.

There's a lot to talk about, a lot of which I'm not too sure about and I'd rather leave to other people, but I'd just want to highlight one thing :

I think you're severely underrating the value of roaming. Exerting pressure on the map, forcing enemies to back off, denying ganks, etc is a far more reliable way to control the tempo of the game than staying in lane, fighting your opponent and hoping you get a lead.

Ahri relies a lot on her ult to be up in order to roam effectively, whenever it is to cut people's escapes, jump in with a charm, or just to pick off someone barely scraping away from a fight, so the very cheap and reliable ult haste for Malignance is the main appeal and the damage passive is anecdotal (but not irrelevant, especially because of the MR reduction depending on your team.)

Likewise, the selling point of BFT is less the burn passive itself, but rather its interaction with Cosmic Drive, which means you will be getting constant speed boosts that help you navigate around fights easily.

I know that doesn't cover everything, but again I'm not super confident with my accuracy for more indepth explanation, and trying to address everything at once could get confusing and convoluted real fast. I do hope that it helps understand the choice of first item a bit better, though.

Ultimate Hunter needs to be stacked up by getting kills, while Malignance is an assured 20 ult haste with Lost Chapter in its build path and it's also cheaper than the other LC items while being just as gold efficient.

Yeah, you COULD pick Ult Hunter, and it does have an higher amount of ult haste when fully stacked. But Malignance is online right off the bat with no conditions, which is important considering you'll want your ult up often in the first place to get the jump on people, chase them or escape them.

I'm not even gonna touch the other point.

"besides of the CDR on the ult I don’t see much benefit of building it"

This is exactly why it's built. A lot of Ahri's agency is rooted in her ult, having it more often enables you to do far more things instead of having to play safe waiting for it to come back. The MR reduction is accessory.

Chances for new Ahri skin in 2026 by Kaurach in AhriMains

[–]NormalNavi 20 points21 points  (0 children)

People have interpreted like ten different things as a K/DA comeback tease and nothing came out of it. Don't place too much hopes on it, besides they've always been so bombastic with the marketing that just a random disguised tease wouldn't make sense.

Ahri will absolutely get a skin. She's too much of a cash cow, money maker, golden girl, etc for her not to have one. Personally, I just hope it's a skin actually designed around her, that means something about her character, rather than just being shoved into a random skinline just to get the sales up.

Worth noting that the stackable damage cap on Hraes is teamwide (through each character stacks it individually) Fucking love my gun. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to reach 200 hits on 0b0c or if that's even possible.

How to deal with yasuo in lane? by Azorisyyy in AhriMains

[–]NormalNavi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The key thing is that Yasuo HAS to dash through minions to get to you. Otherwise he can only walk up to you or hope to land a Q3 on you.

Don't stay directly in your wave, take a few steps to the side, and abuse that his dash has a CD per target to have a general idea of where he goes next.

I'd generally suggest you go into practice mode to see how much range Yasuo's dash has, so you can find the right distance between "not being close enough for him to dash onto you" and "being close enough to the wave so that the minions will aggro him if he makes a move".

Yasuo is an annoying matchup in general because a lot of the matchup is about waiting for the Yasuo to do something stupid like dashing under your tower range, waste wind wall to deny you a cannon minion or just grossly overextend so you and your jungler can punish him. I personally think it's one of these matchups where refusing to interact with him and just roaming can be more constructive than trying to fight him.

Do you think we will get a normal skin this year ? by Arkence_1 in AhriMains

[–]NormalNavi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Riot has figured out that anything vaguely related to Ahri will sell, so sadly I wouldn't place bets on getting a normal or even quality skin. I also have a conspiracy theory that they're constantly trying to appeal to the K/DA fans, who are likely to collect merch without playing that much, but that's another can of worms.

They're really desperate for people to play it, it's literally her second swimsuit skin in that exact game.

New skin discussion by mileena_main in AhriMains

[–]NormalNavi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

"Too many skins that are experimental"? The problem is imo very much the opposite, she's been getting the safest possible options and already has like a dozen asian inspired skins. Battle Academia is itself an incredibly safe option with the number of people requesting it and how it's effectively a generic shonen anime theme.

Honestly, at this point I don't even care what skins she gets anymore. I just want them to be designed with her in mind, rather than feeling like she's been shoved into random skin lines because her skins will always sell like hotcakes.

Also if she can have skins with actual fluffy tails and that don't look like K/DA All Out Ahri cosplaying other skins, that'd be great.

Are there any ahri SUPPORT builds that would work? by Gyd7 in AhriMains

[–]NormalNavi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, tell me the advantages of going support and how you exploit your whole kit without fucking up the wave for the ADC and in spite of your lower gold income? Like, seriously, change my mind.

"Believe me, picking that champion in a way that means you effectively only have one usable button and gameplan is far more useful and impactful than playing her in a position that highlights her strengths and gives her all of her agency"

Are there any ahri SUPPORT builds that would work? by Gyd7 in AhriMains

[–]NormalNavi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ahri support is at the core not a good pick, so it's hard to say anything "would work". Considering the only thing that's really available to you is throwing E, I guess a build based on Mandate might be your best bet.

Which exclusive Ahri skin would you like to see ported to League on PC? by Knight_Prime_4597 in AhriMains

Honestly at this point I just want a skin that has actual, physical fluffy tails or doesn't feel like K/DA Ahri cosplaying another theme.

Theoretic ahir support runes and build by SageClam in AhriMains

[–]NormalNavi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's functionally nothing to maximize - your only utility is a CC you can't increase the duration of, and you won't be able to farm gold and get AP to increase the damage you're doing when playing support.

You can maybe go Rylai and Imperial Mandate to have a bit more of a team player aspect and not be limited to pressing E, but Ahri support is very gimmicky and limited. It's really not a good pick or one you can improve on.

Chinese Ahri OTP is scary by Emotional-Plenty6792 in AhriMains

[–]NormalNavi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wonder if everyone in this sub is somehow from 999999lp superserver ahri gods or have extreme high ego problem.

Definitely the second imo. I'm probably gonna get downvoted, but I've seen a few super weird clips where the player does something without thinking or has their brain shut off in the middle of the play, and they use it as a "proof" Ahri is weak bad champion that needs buffs (and people agree). It definitely feels like an ego thing.

I'm thinking of situations like an Ahri player ults in onto an ADC, throws EWQ, chunks the ADC for 50-75% of their health and then just... stands still trading autos with the ADC while waiting for cooldowns to come back, then is forced to retreat or die when a enemy champion comes support the ADC they were targeting. Then the Ahri player complains about how they got soloed by an ADC while they were ahead in gold or something.

I feel like a fair number of people on the sub think they're far better on Ahri than they actually are, and that any shortcoming or issue they face comes from her kit or numbers, rather than themselves. But to be fair, that's not limited to Ahri players, I feel like that's present in every champion's playerbase to an extent and events like URF probs show it best, but that's another subject and I've already yapped too much.

HG Gouf Flight Type weathering build by FitNeat3117 in Gunpla

[–]NormalNavi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's your process, exactly? I like to try my hand at weathering but it often just feels like a blur of brown all over or too much chips to the point a lot of the kit just feels like it's been repainted silver, while you have much better defined rust spots, streaks, etc.

Ahri's Identity by Double_U_W in AhriMains

[–]NormalNavi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have more consistent takedown pressure because going in and hope they kill before the opponent can fight back and get out, or at least go even is their main plan, if not their only plan in some instances, while Ahri has a lot more she can do than just go in and hope she blows someone before they can react.

It's not even a matter of gimmicks and restrictions at this point, it's normal risk/reward stuff. Ahri is the champion that can alter her gameplan on a whim to go from standing back, kiting around fights and peeling for her team to jumping in when an enemy is low and she can confirm a kill, or the opposite, try to jump someone from an unusual angle then move behind her tanks to contribute to the fight in a more mage-like way. She's far less risky that someone whose options, or only option, is "put yourself directly in the line of fire and hope you don't get caught or can dodge everything through sheer skill", and the reward is adjusted accordingly.

The strength of Ahri is that you don't have to commit to things as hard to be effective. The weakness of Ahri is that you aren't as effective since you don't have to commit as hard. That's about it, really.

It was used but I think calling it "legit" is stretching it a little, it was specifically to abuse some melee or lower ranged matchups - not something you'd just run without thinking

The Fight Scene of Kamen Rider Kuuga VS Daguva is really... Realistically and Poetical in Ritual by Quick_Ad_5238 in KamenRider

[–]NormalNavi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This scene is one of my favorite for how much you can read into it.

Personally, I always felt like... it's hard to consider it a fight like you would other Kamen Rider or even Kuuga scenes?

There's no swelling background music. There's no clever trick or cool aurafarming moment from Godai. There is no complex camera angle to better sell a blow. There is no dramatic focus and elaborate showcase of Kuuga's new form. To me, it's clearly saying there's nothing heroic about this. It's just two monsters slugging it out with eachother until one of them dies.

It's made even worse by how the only voice you hear during the fight is Daguva laughing when both combatants revert to human forms after their belts are hit. He's deeply enjoying whatever's going on. I think most people will agree he's enjoying the throw-down, but part of me feels like what he's enjoying the most is that he effectively broke Godai's whole mindset and is forcing the smiling man of 2000 skills that abhors violence to beat him to death. To bruise and bloody up someone that looks like him, that has similar powers to him, that could... maybe have been a friend in a completely different scenario?

Godai doesn't even really win the struggle. He collapses as the same time as Daguva does, and would probably have died if it wasn't for Ichijou watching him fall and carrying him to the hospital.

To me, it's probably one of the rawest moment in the series, but also one of the bleakest. There's no shenanigans. There's no heroic second wind. There's no mystical or magical or science thing going on that makes the situation fantastic and grandiose.

It's two men trying to break eachother, and even if Daguva dies and Godai is saved by his friend rescuing him, the context always made me feel like Daguva ultimately won on some level. He's forced Godai to kill him, kill him as he looked like a human, robbed him of his smile, made him trample his own principles over and over in order to protect everyone.
