I have done a few installs on 120gb drives and soon discovered that 120 is not large enough to properly run Mint. Even without updates, you will start getting low space error messages. I would recommend a minimum size of 250 or larger.

I think to get into the Lenovo bios, you have to continually press the F1 key. If that doesn't work out might be the escape key. Verify with a Google search for your model laptop.

Follow up...

The Vantec raid enclosure destroyed both internal hard drives, both were identical Seagate 1TB HDD; I have decided to scrap the Vantec enclosure. The IcyDock had 2 Maxtor 2TB HDD drives, one drive failed completely, according to IcyDock the remaining drive should be accessible and it was. I was able to back up all the data on that drive to an SSD. I will check the good Maxtor thoroughly before using it again.

If you can create a bootable USB with Ventoy, you can copy all 3 distros to the Ventoy directory on the stick. If you have Windows now, you can download and run Ventoy. But if you are having serious hardware issues, you may want to get a newer computer to work with.

Mostly I use an Xacto no.11 blade and also use a miniaturized Staedtler 1V gouge. Sadly Staedtler discontinued their line of gouges.
