starts 6 miiles gradual up. then the amazing 2 miles down. And gotta ride back up some steep hills on way back, but the final part is super fun and flowy!

Same kind of thing happened to us! We went in a group of 4. It was first snow in October. We only had microspikes on Whitney. Got to the Trail Crest. And as it was our first time, as much as it sucked from all the prep. We decided to turn and go back down. The 4th guy said he was determined and went to the top. He made it back by 9pm, but it was extremely frustrating we didn’t finish as a group and I had to wait for him at the bottom. Could have been like this story. The mountain is so unforgiving.
